    Power Supply's Portable System

I'm sure that even with the bump controller interface you can still select pre-sets manually. You surely must be able to do so, otherwise how could you charge a battery that didn't have a bump tag on it, such as one of your flying buddies batteries, or whatever?

    Micro Blade 180 3-blade head

Interesting conclusion Mike. Personally I've never been convinced on the advantages of the three blade head. I admit that I've no experience of actually flying one, but seems to me that most people just go three blade because it looks 'different'. Any actual advantages in how the heli flies seem...

    Power Supply's Portable System

That's an extremely slick looking system! As for programming. Personally I just have a series of pre-sets at different charge currents from 5A to 40A. I just select the appropriate pre-set according to how many and how large batteries i have hooked up, and at what rate i want to charge. I can...

ESC Spirit Pro Hobbywing Esc Setup

Yes, you can use a spare channel to activate rescue. I dont use the stability option so my rescue setup is quite simple. If you want to have stability OR rescue then you can have stability set in one 'bank' and rescue set in another. You then need to make your rescue switch activate the rescue...

Trucks 11.1 Volt Vs 7.4 Volt

FWIW changing batteries does not in any way change the 'frequency' of the motor.. It changes the voltage and that in turn changes the current. On a plane if you put in an 11.1V battery where there used to be a 7.4v battery then the current (amps) would roughly double. It would be very unlikely...

General Have A New Esc But No Paperwork

This is something of a wild guess but based on what little there is to go on my guess would be it's a ZTW or one of the many re-brands or copies of the ZTW that are on the market. If so here are the instructions...

General Have A New Esc But No Paperwork

Setup procedures vary brand to brand unfortunately. If you can post some photos of it someone might recognise what type it is and what instructions to use.

ESC Spirit Pro Hobbywing Esc Setup

If cyclic ring is on default it will be 'safe'.. it might be a bit limiting if you want fast response for 3D flying but otherwise no issues. Don't rule out inverted rescue. Rescue is intended for situations when you have lost control so you never really know what orientation the heli will be...

ESC Spirit Pro Hobbywing Esc Setup

Check on the bench that collective pitch is added in the positive direction when you hit rescue, I know some manage to get it reversed and not notice. Another little tip.. In the 'Limits' tab there is a 'Cyclic Ring (Tuning)' slider bar. Do not set this too high, set it so that you get no more...

    700 Xlpower 'specter' 700

I'm really enjoying the Specter, I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone in the market for a 700. Here it is with my other current favourite this last weekend:

    450 Head Speed Advice Sought

I'd guess that for your flying style something like 2800RPM should work ok but personally I don't worry too much about the numbers, I just adjust by 'feel'. If the heli feels lethargic and mushy on collective then i'll increase the throttle curve until i get the responsiveness that i'm looking...

    450 Futaba 18mz With Align 3gx Setup

There will be a setting somewhere to reverse the tail servo direction, sounds like it's set wrong. Ignore what is said in the video about reversing in the transmitter to fix a reversed tail servo, that's wrong for most FBL units. Once you are past the Tx setup tab then all servo reversing must...

General Heli Motor Not Spooling Up

As Tony said, also check that the throttle wire from the ESC is not plugged into the receiver/FBL with reverse orientation.

ESC Spirit Pro Hobbywing Esc Setup

that's great! I should have mentioned ESC firmware (I knew about that) but I didnt know about the Tx firmware issue. Good luck with the maiden.

    450 Replacement Servos Trex 450

All good recommendations.. It would be worth your while doing a little trouble shooting before going and buying new servos though. Can you plug the suspect tail servo into the receiver directly (bypassing the gyro)?.. this would narrow down if it's the servo or the gyro that's causing the issue.

Chargers Looking To Buy A Charger

The chargers mentioned so far are all really good high end units that would meet all your needs without breaking sweat. If your budget doesn’t stretch far enough for those chargers then you could look at the iSDT range. For the batteries you have now the iSDT Q6 would be good, or for more power...
