In a year or so, this is what he will look like.

His name is going to be Gunnery Sergeant Newlin, or "Gunny"

Lol... I respectfully disagree with the first statement there.. Walk in house unannounced one time and ull see...lol.. No offense taken.. Lol, but I do agree dobes r as well ... They r beautiful dogs too... Grandparents had one while I was growing up.. Trotted like horse... I remember that vividly.. Grandpa would throw his cig down.. Sam out pic it up and shake it.. Stomp on it, then dig dirt over it.. Lol.. Sam was a cool dobe.

Well yeah, but they have to come into your house. It's the same with my lab, which is a GREAT guard dog, but he is going on 12 years old, and he is starting to show it. So we need another one. I want a dog that when people see it through the window, they don't say "awe, how cute", I want then to say "OH SUN-OF-A...". LMAO. Even if he is nice, they dont' know that. Intimidation is the best way to keep everyone safe.

I'll stick to my German Shepherd.
Common as mud I know but as loyal as they come.
Smart enough to train well but not so smart that their instinct of self preservation exceeds their loyalty.
A friend has a Doberman that got kicked really hard by a burglar, now it backs off when it sees a stranger.
The dog is too smart, it remembers what happened last time.
The burglar still got his butt kicked, who would break in to the house of a black belt and former army hand to hand combat instructor while he was asleep.

What kind of crap is this... I went to bed last night (er this morning...) and knew there was supposed to be a "dusting" of snow. I wake up and we had 3" and it's still snowing heavy. I have been awake for a while, so we are over 4" now. This sucks...
