Is it ok to lube the ball joints in the knuckles?

You can, but since there is no way to keep the dirt out, it will just attract it even worse.

That is about normal for a stock traxxas servo. They are pretty slow. But that one does seem a little slower than some. Might be time to get a cheap .10 servo to put on it. Just make sure it has enough pull for the brakes. And also, you are not getting WOT. Might want to adjust that as well when you get the new servo. I hear the BK 7001 is a great servo lmao.
