Low speed needle is adjusted only AFTER the high speed. And you should hardly ever have to touch it. Sounds like it was lean, but without video I have no way of knowing for sure. All I can do is speculate. Idle too high? not sure, no video. Not shifting because of idle too high? Not sure no video. See where this is going
