    Spektrum New Transmitter

The FC6250HX comes with a dual diversity antenna receiver, which in effect is like having two receivers.. So you shouldn't need any more.

380/420 Help please - Flying in windy conditions?

Flybarless is without question the way to go if you can. It's probably not worth trying to upgrade an existing heli though, much better and probably cheaper in the long run to pick up a used flybarless heli. Of course if you have a load of spares for the one you have then you might decide just...

380/420 Help please - Flying in windy conditions?

I'm in the north of Scotland, so usually windy here too. Flybarless copes with wind a lot better especially on smaller size helis. Might be worth considering a updated heli?

    500 Align 500x head speeds

Align recommend 2500RPM for the 550X. That would be good for hard 3D flying. I would usually run at about 90% of the Align recommendation (so 2250RPM for the 550). For gentle flying you could probably use 80% of Align recommendation (2000RPM)

    380/420 KDS Flymentor

It's a very old/obsolete system that's been out of production for many years. As it hasn't been supported for a long time I'd be amazed if there is Win10 specific software available. There are a lot of better options these days.

    500 Align 500x head speeds

They are very low headspeeds for a 500X. Most people would fly at 2500RPM or higher. Align actually recommend 2800RPM for 3D:eek1: but i think this must be 'non-governed' as you would struggle to get that high using a governor: HeadSpeed Like most Align helis the 500X is setup to work best at...

    Batteries 12s stick pack

If the battery was not fully discharged for long i've had good luck bringing them back from the dead. If they had been deeply discharged for a long period then usually there is no way back. If you do it in a safe way there really is no increased risk. Just make sure you do the recovery in a safe...

700 Been out of RC Helis for 25 years looking to get back into the hobby again.

The Naza-H was discontinued quite a while ago but you might still find one second hand. They were never very popular but other than that I cant really comment. If you want the full GPS autonomous flight capability that the NAZA-H offered you could go with the Spirit and the add-on Geolink...

700 Been out of RC Helis for 25 years looking to get back into the hobby again.

My personal favorite is the Spirit range of FBL. They have just released a new 'Sprirt GT' which has even higher spec but the 'old' Spirit Pro or Spirit 2 are still fantastic units. The Brain2 / Ikon2 (same things just different colours) are good units too but for me the Spirit edges it. The...

    New helicopter

Thanks for clearing it up, I thought I was probably reading too much into it :) Here in the UK GAUI have been quite 'dormant' in recent years so it leads to speculation.

500 I did like the movie

I'm in a heli group in the UK and we had a presentation from two of the guys behind Tron Dario Neuenschader and Joachim Etter. Dario is a top level 3D flyer and Joachim is the guy who was behind XNova motors. They and Ricky Yin in China have got together to bring the Tron brand to market. They...

    New helicopter

The Whiplash looks fantastic... Out of curiosity, was the move away from Gaui due to the brand's possible demise? This is something that has been speculated on for a while and your move might be further evidence.. Or possibly you just wanted a change and I'm reading too much into it?

250 Omphobby M2 - Direct Drive Micro Helis

Great to hear you like it! The newer versions on the M2 (since about September last year) have had a firmware update to they flight controller and ESC which further improves tail performance making it far better than any other direct drive tail heli out there. WL Toys I don't think had any input...

700 Been out of RC Helis for 25 years looking to get back into the hobby again.

If starting from scratch the Align 700X / 760X 'Super Combo' package is hard to beat on value. They are nice helis, they fly really well. No serious issues with the 700X / 760X though the canopies on them are very thin and fragile and usually crack prematurely, but that's not a show stopper. The...

    600 Fbl conversion

The Align conversion kit might still be worth considering if it's well priced and it comes with the new flybarless head and all the other parts needed for the conversion. I agree with the others though, the 3GX controller is very obsolete, there are FAR better units on the market today which...

Spektrum Older servos with new radios?

They will work when coupled to a modern receiver, but as the others point out servos have come a long way and modern ones will perform better.

    FBL Gyro AR7210BX & Align 500

Have you set the swash type in your transmitter to 'Normal' or 'single servo'? You must not have it set to 120 deg swash (or any other swash mixing setup) as you would use on a flyber heli.

    ESC Whats the difference

Essentially the current rating and the case. The Kosmik range goes from 160A up where the Jive Pro is 120A and below. The jive has a moulded plastic case (non maintanable) where the Kosmik has a plastic and metal case that you can open up for maintenance/repair of internals.
