    600 FBL MicroBeast PLUS

I still dont know what you mean by 'the queue' There is nothing on a heli called a queue. Do you mean the slider that moves along the tail shaft? Like I said before, when in heading hold mode and on the bench the slider should stay over after you move the stick left or right. This...

    Servos Power draw

Looks like a standard size servo. if it's several years old it will be analogue so wont have very high power requirements.. maybe 0.5A or so. Just make sure you fit a decent Rx battery and you should be good. The receiver doesn't really factor into the equation as far as power supply to the...

    Misc. Spektrum support for DX6

What version of the DX6 are you talking about? The new one like in the add that you attached in your second post is a current model (DX6 Gen II or Gen III) and is very much still supported. If on the other hand you are talking about the original DX6 (gen I) from 2005, then that is obsolete and...

    600 FBL MicroBeast PLUS

When you refer to 'the queue' do you mean the slider on the tail shaft?.. If so this is 100% normal behavior for a heading hold gyro. The reason - When you move the stick you put a right yaw command into the FBL, the slider will stay over until the heli achieves that commanded right yaw. Of...

    450 Transmitter

I'm just blown away with the bang for buck the Radiomaster TX16S delivers, and it's multi protocol module that allows you to bind to almost any brand of receiver is a game change. you can do things with this $200 Radio that just aren't possible with Spektrum at any price. BUT (and it's a big...

    600 HELP!

You can quite easily cut down the original shaft. I've done this before, they cut and drill reasonably easily.

    600 FBL MicroBeast PLUS

Your tail gain might be set too low. when you turn the heli by hand the tail must compensate (in the correct direction), if it doesn't increase gain.

    Projects 'nother question or two???????

Those recommendations look good with i'm guessing a 4S battery for the 650Kv motor or 5S for the 550Kv and a 15" prop? If you want to look at other motor brands anything around the same weight and Kv should work. By the way ESC stands for Electronic Speed Controller. Escapements were things...

    Velos Rotors 880 Rebuild

That must be a great insurance policy you have there. I've never heard of one that would cover you for accidental damage in actual use.

    General Any Spirit user’s?

I've only setup one Spirit with geolink but here's a couple of suggestions: 1. Did you do the compass calibration?.. Might want to try re-doing it anyway 2. Try adjusting (reducing) the horizontal gain in the Geolink 'Aid' menu.

    Velos Rotors 880 Rebuild

Oh no :nightmare: what happened to the 880? I thought that Velos were continuing to make spare parts to order, or is that no longer the case?

    Hi from Bristol uk

CCPM = Cyclic and Collective Pitch Mixing This is the mixing of aileron, elevator and collective channels to operate the swash servos. On older helis this was done mechanically using quite elaborate linkage systems, but more modern helis it's all done by electronic programming. As for throttle...

    Hi from Bristol uk

No, the stick controls both throttle and collective pitch 'all the time' but both are controlled via separate curves (a throttle curve and a pitch curve). Throttle hold on the other hand is essentially a throttle cut switch, when activated it kills the motor. with traditional transmitters the...

    Hi from Bristol uk

You will have 'fun' setting up an OpenTx transmitter for flybar heli swash CCPM mixing:nightmare: Hopefully there will be something on Youtube to talk you though it, but 99% of youtube content on openTx is for drones, which wont be any help. Make sure to set the ESC to the 'softest' startup...

    Hi from Bristol uk

Hi Nikki, RC helis can be a steep learning curve but very rewarding when you get it right. Taking on the repair of and old/damaged heli can be hard work, much more of a challenge than building a new one from a kit. Getting spares for some older models can be difficult too. So what is it that...

Scale head speed suggestion for 600 size MD500

I made a 'what headspeed do i need' calculator a while back. If you have an expected weight for the model it should give quite accurate results.. find attached

    700 henseleit TDF

Thanks guys. That flight time was on either 2800 or 3300mAh packs, some as people would run in a 12S 600 or 550. The 3300 packs has plenty left, i could have gone longer on those. It's amazing how being light weight gives so much more flight time on much smaller packs compared to a standard 700...

    700 henseleit TDF

I just picked up a Henseleit TDF. They dont make these any more, which is a great shame because it's a fantastic design. The TDF is designed to fly on anything from 6S to 12S power systems. this one is configured for 12S but even so weighs in at just over 4Kg. I've only got 4 flights on it but...

    ESC Hobbywing Problem?

Great to hear that you got it sorted out. I've never seen a motor mount plate split before :eek1: I wonder how that happened?

Projects Trex 470LM - Cyclic servos too tight and too close to the main shaft?

What you show there is normal for the 470L, it doesn't cause any problems. Just make sure to zip tie the servo wires so that they cant move around and rub on the shaft.
