Well hear is a little bit that I did this weekend. That's In between a rear brake job, tire rotation, and getting my truck state inspected! Lol anyways at least I've started!

The head assembly with main shaft and swatch.

Main gear and anti rotation gear. New black anti rotation gear.

Gear assembly and one way bearing assembled.

Got some more done on the 700 this morning. Git the frame assembled. Here's the pics.

Completed frame. Right side and left.

Finally the front and rear of the frame!

It's starting to look like a heli ha ha. I'm surprised at the simplicity of the build. I Mean when I assembled my 600 there were a lot more parts and screws to assemble. I don't know maybe its just cause this is not my first build that it seams easy! Lol. Now if only it was this east to fly once I get her done! Oh well! Imao!

I did have or do have one slight problem. The governor magnets are hitting the frame and the pickup. I thought I had them both seated last week when I glued them in place. I may have to do some modifying. And ideas out there?

Thanks Lee. I'm just taking my time. I've got to figure out what's up with the magnets before I mount the motor. I'll probably lengthen the mounting holes for the gov sensor. The magnets hitting the frame presents a bigger problem. There is not much frame there to grind out. I'll have to ponder for the week on what to do.

Here are a few shots of what I mean.

Here you can see how close to magnet is to the frame. It hits the two edges going around.

image.jpg

Here you can just make out the scrape mark in the magnet scraping the censor has it passes by.

That because of too much epoxy under it?

Probably will have to either shave it flat and or just take it out and re epoxy

Looking good Sam!

Fly safe!! :) have fun!

GABA I just used a drop of ca behind them. I'm going to try smoking them in acitone next weekend to remove them.

I would not try to "smoke" the clutch. That can't be good for your health :lmao:

I have not seen one with the magnets in the clutch. That is just asking to kill those magnets with the heat from the clutch slipping. But, if that is what the kit calls for, then good deal. I would see if you can get them out, then use a C clamp or something to press them in with some epoxy to hold them. You can also try to put a little air hole in the bottom side of it to let the air and extra epoxy escape while you are pressing them in place.

Nah I have been flying a magnet on vibe since I got it.. It's done good.. No issues it's a tried method..

Air hole is good or sliding it in , in a way that the air can come out.. On my plastic kinetic clutch I used that sue hole method but on my vibe, just like the align kit the hole was pre drilled on the clutch bell which is better..

Sam remember to put two magnets ... One on each opposite end.. Or you'll see vibrations due to imbalance

And make sure magnets are installed in reverse polarity.. So on north facing up and one south :)

Fly safe!! :) have fun!

I've got to get them out first then clean out the ca that's on them. The holes are pre drilled in the clutch. And the magnets are marked witch side is witch.

another question ... what sensor are you using.. ? have you built it the way its supposed to be built? let me know if you need a pre built sensor.. I got one lyiong around.. it should be on a stiff carbon mount, epoxied and ziptied and the "sensor" part is not on the top but on the side long part.. hopefully you know this information .

It's an align sensor. It comes with the kit. All assembled. You just screw it on to the frame above the clutch bell and the hole are slotted so that you can adjust it. All I have to do is plug it into my ikon. The only thing that my kit did not come with is the servo for the throttle. That I had to buy. I just ordered the black main gear from a main. It runs a 112T main gear.

So I got everything fixed up now. I cleaned up all the excess glue from the clutch. I tryed to get the magnets out by no go. Oh well if they fall out later we'll do something then. Slotted the hole for the censor mount a little. Ground down the frame a 1/16 or so and I'm golden now.

Got the engine mounted temporarily. Got to modify the fan shroud a little for clearance for the air funnel. It's hitting the shroud and cocking it a little. Just enough to cause the fan to hit the shroud! Anyways I'm just dry assembling it to check for things like this.
Hears what she looks like with the engine installed!

That loks beautiful!! I would really hope the magnets dont fall out, cause at that moment you go on throttle curves immediately and run a risk of burning the engine up because of over rpm .. and I am talking in just hover. Not trying to scare you .. but talking by what happened to me hahaha :D

but the bird looks like a beast!! and man! this is gonna FLY!!! :D

I doug at the magnets with my knife and a small pick. I could not budge them! I used a thick ca to glue them in. I'm pretty sure I've read where others used ca to glue them in too.
