450 Flying With Msh Brain2 Icon

Hello all, Sorry for not posting for a while, but been very busy! I must start flying again this year, and get over the nervous block I got last year! The question is this. I have the two Align 450 helis, a pro DFC, and 6s Dominator. Both have been upgraded from 3gx to Brain 2 FBL, and both...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Hello again all, Mr heli a, you are a genius! After a bit of resetting, with the blades in the right place lol, I have what looks like a flying model. Set the pitch with 11 either way and 0 at mid stick again, I had loads of neg as it was, and not much pos. Just shows how far out its possible to...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Hello all, Thanks for all this help! Thanks Lee, been through all the settings again, can't see anything wrong. All is set very close to your recommendations. I checked the blade grips train, they are the right way up, as the useless stripped threads are underneath lol, lock nuts fitted...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Hi lee, It's a dx9, pitch curves are 0 50 100 on idle 1, 2, and hold, and 15, 50 100 on flight mode. Throttle curve on idle 2 is 100 90 100 as tried on video. Thanks for looking!

General Please Help. Trex 150 and 250

Hello swop, I tried to start with a 450l but had a lot of trouble as it is so powerful. I bought a 450 clone in the end, and slowly upgraded it to flybarless, then to full align spec. There was a time when I didn't think I could ever get off the ground, but with patience and help from this forum...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Hi stambo, thanks, looked at this one! Also, I tried both idle ups. Hopefully here's some pics of the pitch and a video. Don't know what happened to the first attempt at posting this so sorry if it appears twice. Also, note as I hit throttle hold, therefore neg pitch, it pins the heli down hard...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Thanks for the replies!! This is really puzzling me...... Just checked the pitch again, 11deg pos, and 10.9 neg. Just spooled it up here in the house, went idle up 2, set at 100% throttle, head speed looked very fast. Full pos stick made it light on the skids, but did not lift, full neg blew the...

    250 HK250 wont lift off

Hello all, Not posted for a while, as we have been so busy relocationg our workshop. Anyway, been building the little 250 on the odd occasional evening, and its now just about done. Tried a test flight this afternoon, full battery, align motor and 15t pinion. I have 11 deg of pitch either...

450 3gx flip an roll rates

Hello all. So, had lots of success now with my two helis, finally got them flying quite nice, very stable really, only a bit of tail bounce etc, that really isn't a worry. Been at the field a few times now, and some nice circuits done, hovering well etc. The question is this. I have my 3gx...

    450 Dx9 450l throttle issue

Thanks holtneil, This tx was a 6 month old unit from align trex model shop, I think it was already calibrated, I did mess around with the sticks etc when I first got it...... Guess I will have to check again lol! Last heli to set up is the pro clone, still have that flying on the dx6i. Always a...

    450 Dx9 450l throttle issue

Hello all, Just wanted to post up an issue I had this morning that cost me an hour, and how it was resolved, hopefully to help someone else! This week I have purchased a dx9 as it was a really good price. Nice upgrade from the dx6i I have been using. Copied the settings from the dx6i for my 3...

    450 More 3gx woes!!

Yeh, thanks guys! I am starting to wonder if I should upgrade to beastx in time, but for now I just want to get the helis flying and doing some circuits! Just waiting for some nice weather now, went out to the field this morning, flew the Pro clone, was ok, but the wind was quite strong, ended...

    450 More 3gx woes!!

Hers an update with my findings, hopefully this might help someone else!! Tried another launch not long after this post, same result, the heli wobbled out of control as it got light on the skids and yet another blade strike on the grass.... mainshaft, servo, and swash plate damaged(ball link...

    450 More 3gx woes!!

Hi Tony, Thanks for your thoughts!! I had made double sure the correction was right, and always before even spooling the Dominator, and now this FBL model, I do the swash reaction check. Still not sure what happened!!

    450 Binding a 3GX using a AR6110 and DX8 and making Failsafe work

Hi, I wish I had researched my txt a bit better before purchasing last yer. Would you not be better off using the 3gx as a receiver, along with 2 satellites? I bought a dx6i, so have to use a receiver, but wish I had gone for 7 or higher now, the wiring would be so much tidier! I think fail safe...

    450 More 3gx woes!!

Hello again to all. Just spent hours doing FBL conversion to my 450 clone, using all genuine Align bits. First thing to note was that the rotor head upgrade kit does not come with the feathering shaft or thrust bearings, I had to order separately. Also, I knew it didnt come with the swash, so I...

450 Begun the clone wars have!

Thanks chaps! One further thing to add, the hot tail servo issue I had with this stuff in the blade has gone, servo now only gets slightly warm, so was probably a setup thing with the worn out heli!

450 Begun the clone wars have!

Well, after finding that the poor old skoda (blade 400) was worn out in many places, I ordered a 450 clone kit from hobby king. Arrived quickly, and, for the price, really not bad quality! The alloy parts are quite nice, carbon a little rough round the edges, but all fitted together nicely...
