450 Wahoo Align 470 Lm Is On The Way

Those balls have self tapping threads (T2.6) which are designed to tighten direct into the plastic of the arm with no nut. They should work providing the arm is thick enough for them to get a good 'bite' and the hole isn't too big. You wont be able to fit a nut though. If you do use them lock...

    General What Charger

No need to be sorry, I used to own a 306b, they are great chargers. I only got rid of it to upgrade to a iCharger 4010 Duo which is even better!

    FBL Gyro Alzrc 505 ?

The Kbar comes with the latest software so no reason to update. The only newer software version is for Mikdo's Vcontrol transmitter only, so no use to anyone who doesnt use Vcontrol.

    500 What Receiver ?

I may be wrong but I dont think that the Kbar supports the Spektrum 'SRXL' single line output standard. So if using the Kbar you may be stuck with multiple wires anyway, unless you do what most do and just use satellite receivers connected direct to the Kbar

    General What Charger

Hobbyking arent too bad here in the UK if you buy from the UK warehouse, sure you dont get the same personal service as smaller dealers but for the price that's a trade off that could be worth thinking about. The iChargers are very good chargers no doubt about it, I use icharger chargers...

    500 What Receiver ?

You didnt say what flybarless controller? The AR6600T would be better 'if' you want to use it's inbuilt telemetry. To be honest for a flybarless neither one is ideal because they dont support single line output, so you will have a bunch of spaghetti running between the Rx and FBL... but other...

The 306b is better but it's several times more expensive

    General What Charger

This one from Hobbyking is fantastic value. It's 600W which should be fine for your needs but if you wanted more for the price get two of them: iSDT T6 Lite Charger (600W) EXCLUSIVE to HobbyKing! It's in the UK warehouse too.

    500 What Receiver ?

Flybarless or flybarless and if the latter what FBL controller. This makes a big difference as with flybar you need a standard receiver that you plug the servos direct into, with most modern FBL it's preferable to use a single line output type receiver.

    FBL Gyro Alzrc 505 ?

I've used several Kbars in the past, they all performed great, indistinguishable from a genuine Vbar. The only missing feature on the yellow Kbar is a governor function, but you can use the one in the ESC which works great.

FBL Gyro 450x/ar7200bx Pops Up And Down

Check that the main shaft does not have any vertical play (just grab the head and pull and push it up and down).. If there is some play then this will lead to unpredictable and sudden collective response.

600 Goblin 570 Fbl (and Some Questions)

You don't strictly need a sat because the 4649 has dual antennae, however if it were me I'd use one for good measure. The one from your existing receiver will do fine. I've also just ordered the same receiver for my Goblin 700 plus a new Spirit Pro

450 Wahoo Align 470 Lm Is On The Way

PS when you get the nut on, when tightening the ball only tighten to finger tight. Use red Loctite to fix the nut. These balls are made from stainless steel which is relatively weak so it's very easy to overtighten them and yield the threaded part which may then break off in use.

450 Wahoo Align 470 Lm Is On The Way

Here's another potential way to fix it: Find a screw of the right size for the nut. Fit the screw with a large washer and put it through the hole in the arm from the side the ball fits. Put the nut on the screw and snug it down. Now the tricky bit; Heat the nut with your soldering iron while...

450 Wahoo Align 470 Lm Is On The Way

In the 'brochure' photo you posted of he finished 470 you can actually see that the threads dont go all the way through the nut, looks like the nut just catches one thread which isn't good. It's worth checking with your dealer, you cant be the only one to have had this issue

    700 Goblin 700 Black Thunder T

Thanks guys. It was an easy build helped by the excellent manual. The only tiny issue i found was one of the four screws that holds the tail box to the boom was short and didn't reach the locking part of the nylock nut. Reason being that unlike previous Goblin 700 models this screw has to pass...

    700 Goblin 700 Black Thunder T

Thanks guys. Having my own 'man-cave' for my hobby really does make builds a lot easier. Last I cut down the shaft on the Scorpion. They come with a long shaft (about 55mm) but the big Goblins need a 34mm shaft. A cutting disk on a dremel cuts it easily but there is a trick. You must put the...
