Chargers Icharger Duo 4010 Balance Issue

That’s strange. It could maybe be a fault with the balancing circuit in the charger. It’s not something I’ve experienced with my 4010 Duo. All I can suggest is contacting your dealer or Junsi technical support.

Chargers Icharger Duo 4010 Balance Issue

Bear in mind that the display on the iCharger Duo is to three decimal places, so that's down to thousandths of a volt. You batteries in the display are actually generally within around 1/100th of a volt (a lot better than 1/10thV) But they shouldn't be taking an hour to balance. I'd suggest to...

    Spektrum Binding Problem

So when you power up the receiver with the bind plug inserted does the LED on the receiver flash? If it's not flashing then the bind plug isnt working, maybe plugged into the wrong port?

    250 Trex 250 Gyroscopic Wobble

As Tony said, 'aileron' and elevator' are the two components of cyclic gain.. If they were set high then that's your problem for sure. On small helis they need to be pretty low, usually you would set them both to the same value. Funnily enough i had decent results with version 4.0.. it was when...

    What Did You Do Today???

Down at the beach with the dogs again today. Took a couple of pics of the old WWII defence bunkers that litter the beach:

Sounds like you cyclic gains are too high

    700 Goblin 700 Black Thunder T

The maiden flight went without any issue at all. This is no doubt helped because the Spirit Pro has pre-sets for a Goblin 700 which seem to be very close to being spot on:

They are just cut off pieces of Velcro battery straps (Turnigy brand I think). It just gives some protection to the cable so that the cable-tie doesnt dig in. I personally prefer this to putting mesh sleeving over the cables because I find mesh 'bulks up' the cables so makes them harder to tuck...

700 Trex 700 Head And Telemetry Options

The fan comes with the ESC. Not really needed for the way I fly but might as well use it.

PS.. you can see some photos of this exact same hardware setup in the last post on my Goblin 700 build thread: 700 - Goblin 700 Black Thunder T

700 Trex 700 Head And Telemetry Options

All good questions! Yes, you need an LCD 'multi function' programming box if you want to make any adjustments or update firmware etc. The default settings should actually be ok but it is preferable to have the programming box. If you are using the Spirit / Spirit Pro then you need these two...

That's right. The 'OPTO' version is indeed without BEC. I use the version with the BEC which saves running a seperate Rx pack or seperate BEC and makes wiring neater.

Another (cheaper) option is the Hobbywing Platimum Pro V3 130A HV. It's got all the same features as the 160A but just lower rating. The 130A (Align branded version) is what now comes as standard on Trex 700X kits and is enough even for hard 3D flight. The 130A is what I have on my own Trex...

    FBL Gyro Beastx Issue

I guess the obvious thing to try is to use studio-X instead of the button. All those blinky multi coloured LEDs i find baffling anyway. It's like trying to decipher the beeps an ESC plays when you try to stick program it. Software with an intuitive visual user interface is much easier IMHO.

It's a close choice between the Spirit and the iKon. their feature set and performance is very close. Advantages for each as I see them: Spirit: Metal case Open Tx Integration (if you use Open Tx) More stability and rescue options Highly vibration resistant (seems more so than the iKon/Brain)...

    ESC Castle 25 Amp

Yep, as Tony said, 25A really isnt enough for a 450. You could probably get away with some gentle hovering at moderate headspeed but you really should use a suitably rate ESC. The good news is that you seem to have the Castle link working correctly. Two green light on the software means that...

PS... just a thought on your original problem. You dont have any trim or sub-trim in the TX do you? Trims dont play well with heading hold gyros, it's best to disable trims when setting up a FBL heli.

The 'Pro' software gives you self levelling stabilisation and governor. If you dont want or need these features then the basic 'Microbeast Plus' is worth considering

Ronald, have you installed the castle link software on your PC? If not that’s the first thing to do. The software is downloadable from Castle’s web site but you have to register.

    Off Topic Chit Chat

Weather is still diabolical here. 50 mph winds, light snow and freezing temperatures. As flying was out i took my dogs down to the beach. The sea was a raging torrent. Sea-foam was feet deep in places and beach was littered with dead seabirds blown in by the onshore wind. I rescued this little...
