Listening to the sound of a Chinook flying around the base. It's enough to put me to sleep... Love it.

A Main has the Blade 130x for $199. I'm still not going to get it because I don't want to put another $100 plus shipping charges into the heli just to get it to fly correctly. Would rather buy a 450...

That's what I'm worried about though. I'm wondering if they are running this sell to get rid of the old stock to bring in new. If so, then it will be plagued with issues like I have heard a lot about here lately. However, if I do get it, I"m sure I will be hitting you up about the motor. Going to have to do some serious thinking on this one.

Damn I miss being on the forum during the day when it's the most active... This graveyard crap is going to have to stop, and soon...

Have a thought for us over here. You all come online just as we go to bed and leave just as we get up.

Since getting to ft hood I have not seen many chanooks. All I see now are crash hawks and Apaches.

There are times when I get on here and I have a lot to read in the morning. There were times when in Korea when I would go all day with out an update. Now not as much, we need more folks from the east to get on here.

Wife sick, kids sick with pink eye and I have congestion that is out of control. To make it more interesting my dad will be in today. House needs cleaned before he gets in. To really make things interesting I am cleaning someone else's mess in a building here at work. I am now on my third day.

I am tired and need my 4 day (off time) this weekend. So I hope this building gets done today. If not I work tomorrow too.

Worked on Hawk, Tornado, VC10, Harriar and some two seater trainers, that is after a 4 year apprenticeship. Would have loved to fly in one of the fast jets but never mind.

Think my love for that work still shows in my want to get into the model side.

Tony; My battle station on a Guideded Missle Cruiser was in A big 6 inch turret 3 huge barrels! Anyway the guns going off use to rock me to sleep! I was & electrician & took care of the electrical deck on the turret! Had a head set on & nothing to do but make sure it never lost power! There were 5 decks on the turret! Main deck & 4 decks below to hold powder & Ammo ! The Ships name was USS TOPEKA CLG8 ! Dave

We finally got a day of no rain and little wind for more than 3 weeks. Popped out this morning with the 600 and the Warp. Had my first flight with the new canopy and tail grips on the 600. She flew smooth as butter. Nothing fancy, just slow piro circuits and big full field rainbows (love them) with a full piro in between each one.
Went to fly the Warp, got it off the ground then the phone rang. Landed and it was my work calling to do a lesson this afternoon :D $$ need the money badly at the moment. Glad he called when he did, as the second i put the Warp down, a squall came through of very strong wind. Lucky escape.
So only two flights but nice to get the fingers working again.

Nope, dont' get to watch much TV anymore. Pretty sad seeing as I have a full dish network subscription and a 55" LED Tv... Here at the base, we are only on over the air channels, or free tv, and it SUCKS!!!!! lol

Well, there is going to be very little Phoenix Simulator time for me this weekend. My normal work schedule has be "off" this weekend. I found out last night that I got mandated to work both tonight and tomorrow night. Ugh. I was really looking forward to 3 days off. So much for that! Maybe they will call me and say that they don't need me, lol. That would be nice!

Anyway...take care everyone and I'll see ya when I see ya.

Well got a battery in today and boy was I twitchy. I also for some reason had to reset my throttle end points, must have done something wrong while trying to flash the radio. I still have not flashed it due to a vitrifaction check failing. Not sure if I should skip that check and flash anyways.

Tomorrow I am headed to Fortworth with my dad and brother. Looking at leaving here around 6:30 7:00 am. We are going to the place where the program Dallas was filmed.
