Well, plans fell short to hook up with Kenjack. We were off the field by 3 pm.
I did manage to catch a few videos from the keychain camera. Not all the videos were good flights. In fact, most of our day was spent overcoming things we forgot to bring, or check since last years flying season.
Started off after replacing a servo on the 150 DFC, took it out back to see how she turned out. Seems I now have that motor power problem strming from the multi-layered MRS.

Beachy got his Ares to bind to his new DX6i. First flight looked pretty smooth.

My first flight was the Rc-Help Trainer v2. The COG was about an 2 inches off due to improper battery placement. It appears my last fuse repair, the Gorilla Glue made a ball in the interior nose of my frame. When I slid the battery in, it stopped. When I looked under the motor hatch, I saw the Gorilla Foam blocking the next 2 inches.

My first attempt at a flight was the Rc-Help Trainer, (above), that was bound to a DX6i channel that used to be for the Rc-Help 540. Not only were the throws way off from the D/R expo settings, my aileron was reversed too. Man it's been a long time since I packed up for the park!

We took some time to play with Beachy's Blade SR, and binding it to the DX6i. We made some progress mellowing the sticks down to help him train.
The little gusts that would pop up, and also his feel for the sticks caused a heavy landing and a boom strike to take out his tail motor mount, boom and I am sure feathering shaft.
He packed that up and set out to Gamma again. Bad part of this flight, the controls got reversed from his first flight. WTH???
Being new to navigating the DX6i, when he was going through the menues to change back from the SR to the Ares Gamma, he some how changed the model type for the Gamma model. Kinda hard to fly a plane with Heli controls, even harder when they are reversed.
While he was doing a nose job on the Gamma, I got to take the Corsair UMX out for a face full of wind.

Beachy's second flight from my perspective.

My first heli flight was with the 130x, to show Beachy the tail sway I was having. After running some of the soft metal TT gears, they quickly wore down and have now damaged the bearings in the tailbox. I had no other replacement "C" gear, so I put on a used plastic one.
You will see the plastic one stood no chance when I gave it some throttle.
Back to the planes, I took out the Beast AS3X,

I know, Right??? Wheres the flight video?? I pushed the keychain button twice and shut it down instead of starting another recording
This was the maiden of this plane that I have had for 2 years now. I cannot believe how stable it was in the air. And nimble as heck. An unbelievable flight for my first one, and I took it for the full 5 minute timer. loops, rolls, inverts, dead stickin were all a blast.
Next did a quick flight with the 150 DFC. It's MRS problem brought it out of the air after about 1.5 minutes flight. No video of that one.
The Align/Tarot 450 went out in a big field. My first flight without worries of people, trees or backstops. What a beautiful flight. Caught many different transitional wind effects and handled them all smoothly. Beachy was impressed with the speed and maneuverability of my flight. The dumbest thing I did was not push the record button on the hat camera.
Beachy got the call from his kids and had to pack up to go. Before he left, I put a battery in the Bumblebee, powered up the Fatshark goggles. Beachy strapped them on and I took him for a flight. I wanted to get some feedback on what he was seeing and his impression og having control like this.
He was laughing out loud a few times as I tipped the quad forward for some quicker forward flight. He mentioned some minor Jello effect, a fraction of a second delay, and one or two times when I powered out of a mistake, the video would static a bit. Not sure if that was because I was using the same battery for flight and camera. Maybe it got a voltage drop, or the vibrations were too much under load.
No Hat cam video from that one , and I messed up not powering off the FatShark cam before pulling the battery. So the onboard video never finalized.
