Well, here is where Mike and I will be posting the videos of our in air excursions.
This playlist is from this past Sunday. Slightly gusty winds kept things interesting.
808 Keychain Camera used for all but the Ares Collision flight, which was captured with the CubeCam on his Ares.
Planes used for camera work, RC-Help.com Trainer Foamie, Ares Gamma 370, and the F4F Wildcat. Other planes at the airfiled, Super Cub, and an Extra 300.

The RC-Help Foamie:
Another ride aboard the RC-Help Trainer:
Beachy's Gamma 370:
My F4F Wildcat:
And a pair of videos that end the same way, heading towards the ground after mid air impact.
From the Gamma's perspective:
From the RC-Help Trainers perspective:

Ouch :)
Not much point now, but it looked and sounded like in your vids that both planes could use a serious dose of prop/motor balancing.
Securing the cam really solid makes a huge difference too.

You are very right with the prop/motor balance problem.
My RCH Trainer (V1), is mounted with an inrunner and I have trouble grabbing enough motor shaft with the spinner while powering the 8" prop's. It actually took these videos for me to find out and investigate why that loose paper sound was occurring over 50% throttle. I can mount a 6x5.5 on the motor without having that problem.
V3 will have an outrunner for sure.
Wondering what other plane you noticed it on?
Thanks for watching.

Time to liven up this thread.

Well, not sure if I wanna go back to the 300x.
I have graduated to FLYING my Tarot/Align Alien 450. Last year when I traded off a Tekin 8th scale ESC for this baby, I was utterly intimidated.
The two times I got to get her off the ground my radio settings were not set to "novice". Did the usual damage, Feathering, and Main Shafts, Cyclic turnbuckle, and the unavoidable, (At that time) canopy damage.
Since last year, I got a motor and YEP ESC from Tony, upgraded to the Helical gears, and tossed a 11T onto the motor pinion. I think my headspeed at about 75% stick is near 2750 rpm.
This thing feels so smooth. I have the ZYX-s that I ran through the setup on. I believe I have a bit of adjustment for the 0° at 50% stick.
Here is a 5 min flight with only one take off and one landing.

Thanks Tony for the great parts, and Thanks Rc-Help for getting her in the air and In Control!

One more flight, before getting all the way home. At the same park I filmed the Bumblebee Quad at. I set the pitch subtrim up 5 clicks to see if I could put a temporary shift in my 0° point. Did not notice much difference. But I notice a helluva difference from any other heli I have flown.
Hopefully 1 more battery and upload tonight.

Those are both great flights. The second place looks like a recipe for disaster if I flew there. In the first video where the helicopter just dropped, well that happened to me today from a higher altitude and the guy that was there helping me said it has something to do with turning into a head wind and a mixture of rotor wash. The heli will just drop.. Sounded convincing at the time but I dont know if it is accurate. Just thought I would share.

Back on topic your flights looked great and controlled. Very nice...... What are you using to film your flights? Is that a GoPro???

Thanks Scott.
The camera is by no means a GoPro. It is just one of those 808 Keychain Cameras. It does a good job as long as you don't look into the sun.

Nice time out at Morris Field on Friday.
Here are 3 vids of the Rc-Help Trainer, The Bumblebee Quad and the T-Rex 150 DFC in action. Well kinda action compared to some of you other guys flights.

Great flight with the RCH Trainer! The roll rate on your Trainer is awesome! Do you have some kind of carbon fiber in the wing acting as a spar? I didn't put a spar in my Trainer and the wings finally gave out as I was coming up on my 30th flight. That Bumble Bee is just too cool!

Thanks and Happy Easter Derek. My Trainer does NOT have a spar in it. Maybe about a stick of hotglue in the seams and then there is the under side of the seam that I had doubled up a bit in the fuse area. That and a good piece of elastic string to wrap the wind to the fuse.
Those rolls surprised me too. It must have been the headwind making it look that cool. hat's what prompted the harrier attampt to see if the prop had the power.
That was my first True Flight with the Bumblebee in an open area. The time on the Estes Proto-X has helped my orientation with that guy a bunch. It was fun to get it all the way back to the landing mat. My friends thought I had GPS return with how well I did.

Great day outside at lunch today. 1 battery in the 130x to realize I have not fixed the infrequent tail binding. 1 nice battery in the 150 DFC. and an undocumented test of the Rc-Help Edge foamie. I have to limit my travel on ALL my surfaces. I had the D/R-Expo almost mild, but way to much throw. The larger prop caused a slight motor shift on landing. I am adding a bit more foam to the nose to make it a bit more robust to hold if it cannot push the prop to the side.

Had a bit-o-bad luck on Tuesday afternoon.
I decided I would dig a bit deeper into the KK2 on the Bumblebee, and started to mess with the auto level. So in the parking lot at work I was lifting her off to about 10 ft and hitting the auto level switch. She had a bit of forward lean and a slight left aileron roll. I dialed in the corrections and continued to lift and test till I had her sitting in a 10 ft cube on AL switch.
I packed up the stuff and headed home to try to catch some video of our road track in a local lot.
After a few minutes i lifted her up to over 60 ft and flicked the auto level switch. An abrupt roll right, and she was speeding towards the pavement. Stick corrections and an quick slap to reverse the AL switch and I must have flipped the D/R switch for the Elevator while trying to gain control.
Here is the hat cam of the flight, sorry about the Oh S$*ts at the end, but not an F-Bomb was dropped!

Only lost one prop, and one plastic leg holder on the quad. One of the side frame pieces of the gimbal and a nice road rash on the Sony camera.
And the Quad View,

I got back out to the Porter Raceway above, but with something that was supposed to make contact with the pavement.
Tried out the new (to me) FatShark Teleporter V3 FPV kit.
Kinda tough to see the painted lines of the track from that low, and even more confusing when another color dissects your line.
FS Pilot HD onboard recording below. This is gonna be a fun summer with this setup.

Is that done through this forum or YouTube? I did not find the option besides embedding on the Tubes settings.

Now this is a lazy Sunday morning flight.

Cool little impulse buy. Amazing what bad weather will do to a pilot.
