Below is the link to all of Rc-Helps DX8 videos. If you can think of any videos that you would like to see, post them up and I will get them made.

I think I have went through that with the DX9. The DX8 G2 and the DX9 share a lot of features and are almost identical. Have a look at the DX9 videos and see if that answers your questions. I don't have a DX8 G2, but if a video needs to be made, I can make it with the DX9. Just let me know.

I dont know what setting options are available for the DX9(G2).
I have allready watched both series of vid's( DX8& DX9).
Although very good and informational, the info I seek is not there.
I want to try your 9 flight mode setup specifically.
I am trying to setup a trex 450 sporting a AR7210BX, Scorpion 1880kv sporting a Castle lite 100 with white wire as RPM out.
This is my first setup on my new DX8G2.

There is only one DX9. The firmware is exactly the same as the DX8 G2 though, just with an extra channel.

Below is a video on basic helicopter setup with the DX9, which is exactly the same as you would setup your DX8 G2. As for the gyro setup, below that is a video on the AR7200BX setup which will translate over as well. Hope this helps.

Hello Tony, my name is Randy. New to The Forum good job bro. Anyways, it says post inquiries and you can possibly make a video in regards to it. Well here's the Dilemma that I've yet to see ask of you. I have a DX8, and I wish to program it into a Tamiya type scratch-built truck. I've seen plenty of other videos and regards to dx6 and so forth. Would like to do certain things, you sticks a certain way, just wondering think you can come up with something. Thanks

Create a thread in the car and truck section and let us know what equipment you will be using. I know you are using a DX8, but what Rx, what motor and ESC (unless nitro or gas), what servos and what functions you want the truck to have. Once I have a better understanding of exactly what you are trying to build, I may be able to make a video to help out (with a DX9, but could get a DX8 if it is absolutely necessary). Can't wait to see your post, and thank you for the suggestion. Hope I can come up with something good.

Tony, I have a DX8 Gen 2 transmitter, I have an AR 8110 t receiver. Standard Tamiya motor brushed, with a dynamite 60 a waterproof forward reverse brushed electronic speed controller Horizon Hobbies.savox servo for steering. Not too much concerned about multiple functions at the moment, the problem in lies with the fact that I cannot get dual Direction out of my motor. Meaning if I push the stick forward the wheels go forward if I pull the stick back the wheels go forward, and vice versa if I invert the program or change the leads on the motor. I've done a model reset, have even tried different modes, I have switched sticks around and even switch stick functions, regardless of what I try I have the same results.

Ah copy that. I will try to check it out tomorrow and see what I can do. Had a few minutes to spare tonight and thought I would catch up a bit on here. Things are about to change though. Hopefully for the better.

You will need to set your DX8 so that the throttle centers. You can do it without taking the case apart, but might be easier to take the back off the Tx so you can see what you are doing. Basically just mirror the elevator setup with the spring. Then, you will need to calibrate your ESC to the Tx so that it knows where N is as well as F and R. If you don't have any luck, I will try and read though the manual of the ESC and possibly borrow a DX8 so that I can show you what I'm talking about.

And I love helping people, that is why I created this site. Just give me a bit of time and I will see what I can get done in helping with your issue. At this time, it's time to hit the sack and deliver this load first thing in the morning.

And not to be a pain in the ass, but I have spent the last couple of days on the phone with Horizon Hobbies they claimed to have duplicated my setup and had gotten it to work, I'm just perplexed.

If they sent you a set of settings, post them here so that I can see them. I will reply to this tomorrow so that it is in my new feed and I don't forget. But if I do, just post up and bump it up. It's been known to happen a time or two lmao.
