So you are ready to move up from your DX6i, and you went out and purchased a brand new DX7s/DX8. Now you look at it and wonder what all can be done with it. That is where this playlist will come in handy. As time goes on, I will be adding more and more to the playlist, so make sure to check back often to see if I have added anything. As always, if you have questions, post them below and we will help you out. <iframe width="640" height="360"...
For those of you with small hands, heres a little tip.
In this video, I explain what some of you have thought to be a bad DX8 or a DX8 that's going bad. In all reality, it's just a channel setting that's causing all of the issues. Hope this helps someone out there before they call Horizon or Spektrum.
In this video, I give you a look inside the Spektrum DX8. Some people need a visual look at what they are doing to get a better understanding of what's going on in there. There is no need to take the Tx apart when doing any adjusting of the sticks or modes, but this will help you better understand what is going on rather than just looking through small holes.
In this video, I'm going to show you one of the easiest things you can do to the DX8 to make it your own. Unlike the DX6i, the DX8 has holes in the case ready to adjust the sticks. Have a watch and let me know what you think.
Alright everyone, I'm finally getting on with the DX8 videos. It's a slow process, but we are getting there. In this video, I show you how to change your DX8 from Mode 2 which I use, to Mode 1 which is used in other countries. You may be asking, why in the world would I need to know this, I will just buy one in my own country that is already setup. Well because, if you can find a great deal on this DX8, but it's across the pond and in a different mode, you can easily change the mode and...
When you get your new DX8, you will want to setup a model in it. If you are flying helicopters, this is the video for you. In this video we are in the System Setup menu and we go through all of the screens to set the basics up for a CCPM helicopter. From name and type, to switch select and trim steps. Have a watch and let me know what you think.
Finally, we are going to start setting up the model memory in the DX8. In this video I walk you through setting up the model type, wing type, name and everything else needed to create a new Airplane model. If you have any questions, please click on the link above and sign up on the forum. We are always happy to help
I have gone and done it now. I sold my DX6i and purchased the DX8. This has to be one of the best Tx's I have ever had the pleasure of holding in my hand. It's just comfortable. In this video, i will be doing a general overview of the DX8. In future videos, I will be digging deeper and getting into more depth on the Tx than I ever have before. If your not subscribed to my channel, do so now so you don't miss anything
When you get your DX8, the first thing you should do is go into the system Setup Menu and make it your own. In this video I show you exactly how to do this. One thing I forgot to include is in the battery menu within the setup menu, you can only adjust the warning and not the actual battery type. The DX8 will automatically adjust for NiMh or LiPo. If you have any questions, just click on the link above to go to our forum and let us know what your questions are.
Since I purchased my DX8, the one question I have been asked the most is "what is the Raw Input Test Menu?". Well in the video below I explain what it is. I don't however know what the code is on the bottom left although I'm sure it's a diagnostic code of some sort or maybe that is the code that is going to the Rx so it knows what switch has been flipped. If you know for a FACT what this code is, post below and let me know. Hope you enjoy
