I Quit Smoking!!!!!

Good luck Tony. I quit in march of 1999 and picked them back up again in 2007. I quit again on Nov 27th 2013 and have not had one since. Quitting smoking was just about the hardest thing I have ever done and I know how frustrating it is to have quit for awhile than to go back. Its a process man. Just keep trying.. one day at a time. I miss it sometimes but i know if I smoke just one, I will be back at it like before. Keep us posted on how you do.

Yup, quitting this second time is much harder than quitting the first time. But so far, it's been bearable. We will see how the rest of the week goes.

My dad was 75 when he died, he quit when he was 50..said that the urge never left him, but the urge after time would usually be a passing thought that lasted about a second..

Yup, I know what he was talking about. Even the 6 months that I quit, I still had that urge which I gave into just so I could "see why I quit in the first place". I know I will not make that mistake again.

So far, I still have yet to have one today. And doing pretty good. I still want one, I still have some in my truck. I also had some in my Kia when I quit the first time. I think knowing I have some makes it easier than knowing that I'm completely out. Keeps me from making a split decision when I'm at the gas station...

Well then come on bro, quit with me! I have just started up a new website (which I don't think will do much, just had the space and software lol) to help people quit smoking as well as some info (in time) on different things for vaping. Come on over and check it out. http://tonysvapes.com Hope to see you there! And seriously, quit with me!

I'm sure I picked the worst possible time to quit smoking again... This is getting ridiculously hard... Doesn't help that the wife is bumming smokes off the neighbors... Yeah, I chewed the neighbors out... Wasn't pretty...

tony this is about YOU not smoking, if she wants to smoke tell her to go get cigs for herself. I know this won't help you in quitting, but if you can make it through that with her smoking, then for sure you'll know you can do it! Maybe make an agreement with her if she smokes in the house then agreement could be she smokes outside only.
They say the first 2-3 days is the worst. Maybe after that you'll calm down a bit with the desire. Besides women always wanna think they are superior to men as far as things like that....just show her how that ain't true!
Hope you can do it man! Will give me some incentive to get away from em finally!

Tony, quit twice myself (first time was cigarettes 10 years ago after smoking for 18+years ) and last Sep I stopped the occasional (every weekend) Cigar or 2 (still 100 % smokeless today) and found that you have to tackle each scenario one at time..the first smokless coffee, the first smokeless grass cutting, the first beer etc the first time fishing and these events always come up and you knock em down one at a time then its done.. Give your self the time and battle on it is tough but very doable.

You are right about that. However this time, it's kicking my ass. And I'm losing the fight. But mainly this job has a lot to do with it. I'm looking into starting up my own business but have a lot of work yet ahead of me before I can invest in it.

That's the wickness, there's always a good reason to smoke.. its part of the addiction (cant quit today, now I have this coming up, or I will right after that ...) each day gets easier as the events you beat add up. Keep going my man.

Yup, when I quit the first time the first two weekends were hard as hell. Then it got easier. Right now, I have had a pack of smokes the whole week. One pack since Saturday, actually I think before. I smoked the last one out of the pack on my way home from work. Dont' have any now, and don't plan on buying them. We will see how it goes.

I know how you feel. I was doing great until I got back into truck driving delivering to the oilfields. Sucked me right back into it and with the added stress that I'm under once again, I just can't set them down again. But I think about it every time I pick up that pack. I think it's time to take a different direction and set myself on the path to stop for good. Now, if I can only get my wife onboard with this lmao.

Those electric smokes was maybe the BEST and most IMPORTANT $40.00 I have ever spent,I know stopping so late wont save my life, but now I have the money I need to enjoy my hobbies such as Ham Radio,Photography, hiking thru The Great Dismal Swamp, and of course,RC Helis and Quads.......

Well everyone, I'm giving this another shot and this time, I think I have my wife onboard with me.

a couple weeks ago, I ran out of cigarettes and just couldn't bring myself to go spend another $50 on another carton. So I decided to pull my IPV3 out with the Kanger Sub Tank Mini and try it out again. Before, it had a horrible taste and I just didn't want to hit it that much. Took a couple tokes off of it and it's the same taste.

I did this for about a day or so then had to have another cigarette. Smoked one and went back to the horrible taste like I was lighting up for the first time. Just a bad taste. so I stuck with the vape.

There was just something missing with the Mint Chocolate Chip that I have been hitting for a very long time. So I broke down and went to the vape shop I said I would never go to again and got my good ole Cinnamon Red Hot flavor. This time though, instead of 24mg Nic, I got 18mg. I stuck this into an Aspire Nautilus with a 1.8Ω coil and set my little MVP V2 to 8w and started toking on it. Oh yes, this is the flavor that I remember quitting on when I first quit.

But I just couldn't kick the habbit of picking up a cigarette. Granted, I still hadn't purchased a pack for myself, but I kept stealing them from the wife. But only one or two a day, so I was doing MUCH better than the 1.5 to 2 packs a day!

The more I kept hitting the CRH (Cinnamon Red Hot), and the less I was smoking, the better my MCC (Mint Chocolate Chip) tasted. But I had an issue, my MCC was too high in PG and I wanted a bit more VG but the coils I had in my Kanger Sub Tank wouldn't wick the thicker liquid. So I started looking for a new tank. Then I found out that Kanger came out with a new OCC (Organic Cotton Coil) which instead of having a horizontal coil where the air had to go around the sides of the coil and blocked the fluid hole too much, to a vertical coil where the air goes right down the center of the coil. This gives much better flavor and even better yet, larger holes for the liquid to go into which is better for the thicker liquid.

I stuck that coil into my sub tank and yup, this was better. But, I was still carrying that large and heavy IPV3 and I wanted something smaller. Then I remembered Kanger came out with a new mod and tank. The mod is a KBox Mini and the tank is still the Sub Tank Mini, but this time it's black and comes stock with the vertical OCC's. It's a 50w mod which will fire down to a 0.3Ω coil. And comes stock with a 0.5Ω coil which is perfect.

I shopped around everywhere trying to find this mod, which bundled together is called a Subox (pronounced Sub Box). I called one place and they said they would have it in the morning (this was on a Sunday). So Monday morning, I went up there in hopes to have it in my hand when I left. I walked in, they had it, handed it to me and Oh yes, this was it! I asked "how much as you getting for this mod?" and they replied "we are getting $149.99". Oh yeah, I lost it! I told them "you can get this for $79.99 all over the place!". Their response was "I just checked the wholesale website and they have it for that price, but you can't buy it for that". I politely dropped that box on the floor and said I wouldn't be back to get ripped off. lol. From there, I stopped at a place by a BBQ joint and they just sold their last one 15 minutes earlier, dammit!

So heading to the house to order it online (for $79) I rememberd the little vape shop in Noble where I live. I stopped in and there it was, right in the case as you walk in. I asked to see it, held it, loved it and said "I will take it, how much". They said "$99.99". Ugh... I told them that the shop I had just left was selling it for $79.99 with a 10% discount and would like to give this shop my money since I live here. After some phone calls, they gave it to me for this price. Since they gave me the extra 10% off, I decided to try some of their "Premium" flavors and left with one called Suicide Squeeze. It was good when I started out with it, and I had him fill up the tank I just purcahsed. I left and headed back to the house.

Once I was at the house, I was already tired of the flavor lol. So I cleaned out the tank and put my good ole MCC back in it (same coil). I decided to take my old Sub Tank and put this new juice in it, and I gave it to the wife. She actually liked it. But continued to smoke. So I kept pressing that she quit with me. She was really liking the flavor and was not hitting the other flavor that she liked. And it had cut her back quite a bit.

Last night, she told me that actually got in her car to head to the store to get a pack, but turned around and came back before she got there. Maybe, just maybe she is going to quit with me this time! I know it's getting a little easier for me each day. I'm sucking down about 15ml of juice a day though, but I'm not smoking.

I did make a new order from my supplier for some more MCC as well as some watermelon (been wanting to try it), two different kinds of sweetener and two different kinds of CRH. I want to see if I can completely get away from the shops inflated prices for juice and only use them for new mods and tanks.

I'm really hoping this one sticks this time. I have a vape channel that has a few hundred subscribers and I'm thinking about perusing this a little further with reviews and how to's. Just one more thing on my plate with everything that is already going on lol. But lets face it, doing things with vaping is fun! Especially when it's working! AGAIN!!!

I got completely off :):):):) for 3 mos....then one day I picked one up...
At first I smoked 2-3 a day and vaped the rest of the time, now I am smoking more and vaping less.
My wife however has gotten completely away from cigarettes.
We were both vaping Boba's Bounty for a while liking that a lot.
But the continued problems with coils on both the Kanger, and Aspire tanks just made smoking more
attractive to me. The wife however got this sub ohm outfit from her son and tried a different juice.
The juice is called Milk man, and it's pretty good, it also produces a fog of a vape too!
My vape outfit arrived today, and I will give it a shot tonight.
My ultimate goal is to not smoke or vape. This is one of the hardest things to get away from I have to admit.
I did quit one time years ago with Chantex. If I can get away from the :):):):) for a good bit, then I will begin weening myself off the nicotine levels of vaping. If not I will get the Chantex, that stuff worked for me for sure.
The reason I haven't gotten back on it is it's really expensive. Plus I don't care for drugs of any kind but it's time for serious action!

Post up some pictures of what you have coming! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out.

I did stop into the local vape shop here in town earlier on my way back from taking yet another drug test. I went in to see if I could get tomorrows sale today on coils, and I did. So I picked up two packs of OCC's for my Kanger Sub Tank at 0.5Ω and I picked up a pack of coils for the Aspire at 1.8Ω for my CRH. Well while I was in there I decided that I was going to look at the RDA's that were sitting there. They are all clones, but they are all $24.99.

I ended up finding this Doge v4 and brought it home. I twisted up some 28ga Kanthol and did a 6 wrap micro coil and stuck two of them in there. this came out to .42Ω. I decided to stick it onto the IPV3 and I cranked this sucker up to 75w! You want to talk about chucking the clouds!!! This thing will put out some clouds. I did end up raising it all the way to 150w and with a half second pull, it was a massive cloud!

So I think I'm going to like this dripper. And yes, it goes though the juice! I'm sure glad I mix my own juices!

Let me guess, you got the purple one!!! :chuckles:

The Innokin looks cool, but how much as replacement batteries for that thing? I'm paying $10 for a 35a 2100mah battery that I put into my ipv3 and my kbox mini. Of course I have my MVP V2 as well that I use for my CRH that only needs 8w lol.

Let me know how you like those. I'm always looking for new stuff to play with.

The Pandora (carbon fiber, how dare you think I'd get the lady purple! LOL) is nice but too small for my hand.
The Donner tank is good, vapes nice with my Bobas Bounty.
The Innokin is supposed to be showing up today sometime.
I think the batteries for those run $14.00. I checked one of those out at a local vape shop and liked the size.
So I already know I like that one. The vape shop woulda cost like $69.00 +tax but at myvaperstore I got it all
for $49.00. I'll give this smaller one to the wife (probably have to order the purple for her...or get her some color fancy Innokin if she likes that one.

I like the small size of my Kbox Mini. The Innokin looks like it's the size of my IPV3 but with only a single battery (mine has two). Either way, the only thing that matters is it works for you. You find your flavor, you find your mod, and you have fun with it. For me, it's more than just the flavor, it's about the playing around. Messing with different coils, different mods, building different coils, new RDA's, new mec mods (Love my FUHattan lol) and just using my hands. I'm about to mix up some custom juice here in a minute and try it out. I think I have something over 50 different flavors here right now to play with. And these are flavors, no pg, no vg and no nic. I get to add that later.
