Yes, there was an issue with posting after I deleted everything off of the server and uploaded a fresh set of files. I have corrected this issue by disabling all of the plugins that I had installed. You should be able to post just fine as you did above.

Hi everyone, I've been so stressed about my new 130x flopping around on the floor like a fish that I haven't looked around the forum much. Wanted to see if there were any heli pilots on here from around Hartwel or Toccoa, Georgia, or Anderson, SC. No one flys heli's in the Hartwell club. How disappointing! So far my closest heli friend is Tasajara in Alabama.
I have to send some kudo's to Tony. I haven't been on any other forums and I haven't read enough to know exactly why he created and manages this site, but holy moly, this has to be a lot of work for him, and so far I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My wife got so tired of hearing about helicopters that she said that I needed to find some friends that would number one understand me, and number two, tolerate heli this and heli that for more than 2 hours a day. So I did! It is very nice to have this outlet on RCH.

BTW Can I set my forum viewing up for newest to oldest?

I haven't been in that area for 20 years, but I graduated from Clemson University so I've spent my time in Anderson. Back in the day, it was common for us to leave the frat house on Friday during happy hour and head to Chief's for wings and beer. Those were good days!

Greg, as stated before, it's great to have you here. Unfortunately I'm in Oklahoma, but I know your pain of not having anyone to fly with that's also into heli's.

The reason I created this site is because when I got into the hobby (flying, not driving) I was going around to other forums asking the questions that every :newbie: asks. For this, I was getting flames and harassed for asking a simple question just because it's been answered before. This pissed me off to no end and I just about left the hobby all together. After all, I still have my Camaro so I can just use that as my hobby.

Well I got to thinking that surely there had to be others that were in teh same position as I was in. New to flying, new to helicopters, jumping in feet first with a ccpm heli (turned out to be a crap heli, Dynam E-Razor 450) and getting flames on larger forums. For this reason, I decided to create a static website to host my youtube videos in one place, as well as a place to put soem writeups.

As time went on, I noticed that people really wanted a place to communicate and a forum was the perfect way to do that. So, I took the static html site and turned it into the forum you see today.

I have rules in place that NO ONE is to ever flame or harass another member because they have asked the same question as everyone else. If I find a member doing so, they will get a warning, then they are banned from the site. i will not tolerate it. If there is a great writeup on something, then there is no need to retype the same stuff over and over, just post a link to the thread where the info is.

Most importantly, we are family here and we take care of each other. If you look just below my signature, you will see a triangle with an "!" in it. If at any time you see something that you don't think should be on the forum, click that and send a report. It will go to me, Lee adn Gaba to take care of. if Lee and Gaba are not sure what to do, they will wait until I get online and I will take care of it. But it will be taken care of. And yes, I'm the admin/owner of the site, Lee and Gaba are my "Super Mods". Well, they are "super" at something anyway... Bugging the hell out of me :poke: :lmao:

It does take a bit of time to run the site, but nothing like it was when I first started creating it. I'm talking 20 hours a day, 7 days a week for about 6 months straight. Okay, maybe not 20 hours every day, but there were quite a few. Then people started sending in ideas of the themes and the first one took me about a week to complete. After that, i could do them in a few hours. To see all of the themes, just scroll to the bottom of any page and on the left side there is a drop down box. In there, you will see all of the themes that you can choose from. Have a look and pick the one that you like best. I like the "Fire" theme the best personally and it's the one that I'm always on. so you can be assured that there is never anything wrong lol. If you do find something wrong with any theme, PM me the link and the name of the theme where the issue is and I will take care of it.

Of course there are the issues that come alone with running a website. Like spammers. A few months ago we got hit really hard with them. The members didn't notice because I have two mods that are great at their job and my spam software did it's job mostly. But then there are things like happened last weekend where we had an issue with the ads and it was redirecting members to other pages not on this site. I had to completely wipe the server and reupload everything for the site. It took about 3 days to get everything done, and my weekend was trashed because of it, but it's worth it to keep this great forum running. Again, if you see anything that is not right, PM me or email me by clicking the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page.

As for changing oldest to newest, to newest to oldest, you can do that. Click on settings at the top of the forum and look on the left side. I'm pretty sure it's called "General Settings" or something like that. Just click in there and find what you want. Make your profile your own.

As stated, if you have ANY questions, don't be afraid to ask!

Yes, we are not that far from Clemson at all. Go by there all the time.

And I figured out the listing order of the posts. (read some directions)

Thank for the story Tony. One things for sure. You are committed to this creation, and many many people have you to thank! I know what it takes to keep things running on a site. We just completely recreated ours. AquaDyne Filters Professional Bead Filtration Solutions . Much more to say but wife is sick of mouse clicking on the mattress at 2:20am. Two things to get soon. clickless mouse and a smooth mouse wheel that doesn't click when it rolls. I swear this new addiction to heli's and interacting on this forum has everyone worried. They think that I am on drugs or something from staying up half the night researching heli's or Quads or whatever. But a man just needs to do something for himself once in awhile.

hahaha, I have been punched in the chest by the wife from typing out articles and such at 0300 while the wife was trying to sleep lmao. I learned to just do it at the table, or when she gets up.

As for that site, you need some carbon reactors, phosphate reactors and protein skimmers for saltwater tanks. i would take you up on some things lmao. if you have not read the nightmare that I had to go through to get my salt water tank back, search "Who's Into Saltwater". Long thread if you are looking for something "not heli related" to read lmao.

but, I"m mutually hated by most all wives. Only one of them has ever contacted me for advice. Most of them wish me dead for what I have done to their other half lmao.

I had a 100gal. salt tank a few years ago, had about $2k in it. Getting ready to sell it all on Craigslist. All that stuff needs to go, and a Mac Daddy Quad needs to come! It was beautiful until I got tired of dumping money into it. I just finished putting in a 4000 gal. inground Koi pond outside our building. There is going to be 2 of them about 40' apart with a river running between them and a bridge over the river. This will be the entrance to my wife's animal therapy center. Thank god for heavy equipment, I'm too old for this hard manual labor stuff. I have a brand new nice protein skimmer in the box if u interested.
