Well this was not the qualifying test that I was hoping it was. We went out to Camp Gruber and let me tell you, I wanted to do a LOT more than just shoot that little cap gun they gave me. They had .50 cal ranges that stretched on for about 1.5 miles where they use long range sniper training. They had the full auto, large munitions range. Meaning the fully auto .50 cal's that are on the top of trucks. Oh man, I really wanted to do that. but NOOOOO.
Before we went to the range we had to watch that classic video on safety. Once we got out to the range, we loaded up 2 clips with 15 rounds each. The range had 7 targets that came up and fell automatically. The range was only 10yds to 15 yds. The first round was not that great. I think I missed 8 out of 30. Getting used to these stock sights was not that easy. However, I could not leave it at that and I loaded up another 30 rounds. The second round I only missed 1. And what pisses me off is it was the closest target to me lmao. I just pulled and fired too quick. Pulled it to the right. Ah well, I still passed so to speak.
However, to pass the qualifications, all we had to do is show up and fire one round. So we all passed. Can't wait until I can get out to a range and do the actual qualifications to see if I still have my 95-100% in me. Firing this cap gun, I thought I was shooting a little .22 compared to my .45. It's been ages since I had something so small in my hands (SHUTUP! KEEP YOUR JOKES TO YOURSELF LMAO).
a very long drive to just go out there and shoot the bull while dropping targets. Had fun, but I need to go to bed now and try to get back on schedule. Changing it around sucks big time.
