That motor mount should work fine as long as it's the same length as the stock one. As long as it's strong enough to support the motor, you will be fine. And if you take your time with the NexStar, you will be fine as well. It's very stable and flies pretty slow. Just remember, it's not a helicopter so you have to keep air speed to keep it in the air. This was my issue when I went from heli's to planes. I wanted to do a hover only because that is what I was used to, or very slow forward flight. Once I put some power to it, I got much better.
