I most often land with a 'baby auto'.. You are right that a smooth landing with full headspeed is quite tricky to make 'clean' though one option is to have a low headspeed for take off and landing. You could also have that flight mode with a reduced pitch pitch curve (say +/- 8 deg). I used to...
I got out on Sunday with my KDS Chase 360, Kasama Dune, Goblin 630 and Goblin 770. So here's the fleet ready for the days action, happily they all looked the same at the end of the day:
Anyone have photos from their day's flying they want to share?
That's better flight times than i'm getting Neil, you should be able to get ten minutes easy! I'm running bigger blades at a bit higher RPM and slightly smaller batteries, but i can still get 7 minutes which is great by most standards. Says a lot about the efficiency of the heli.
I have a similar 600 and a similar transmitter but I can't help very much with the AR7210 as that's one FBL I've never used. I'm sure others here will be able to help though.
Where have you got to with the setup?
Neil's and my Goblin 630's are almost identical, same servos, same ESC, same motor, same FBL... like they were separated at birth!
Here's mine a few weeks ago.. or is it Neil's;)
A common cause of failure to bind but one that doesnt get much mention in the manuals is holding the transmitter too close to the receiver. Keep the Tx 2M or so away from the receiver while binding.
A collective pitch micro is a hard way to learn heli flying. The CPS has a stability mode which...
Yeah, as Tony says, if it's tilting slightly just as it gets light on it's skids that's normal due to the sideways 'push' from the tail rotor, especially so if flying off grass that snags the skids. Just correct it and lift off and all will be fine.
Yeah, it pretty much had to be gyro response direction (or the gain being effectively 'turned off') but good to see that you nailed it.
Tilt left is an odd one.. Is it a left drift or a definite tilt as in the heli rolling to the left?.. A left drift on lift off is perfectly normal, all helis...
I pretty much has to be vibration related. How is the mesh between the motor pinion and the main gear?.. If it's tight it will vibrate real bad. There must be a small amount of play between the gears.
Turnigy do an AC charger (plug direct into wall type) with 300W output: Turnigy Reaktor 300W 20A AC/DC Synchronous Balance Charger / Discharger (US Plug)
This is powerful enough to parallel charge a couple of 6s 5000mAh batteries at reasonable rate ... Though reallyas Tony said, for big...
Another possibility is that you have elevator travel reduced right down in the swash mixing menu or have the elevator travel dialed right back in the servo travel range screen.
The simple way to eliminate any Tx setup issue is to open up a new model in a fresh model memory. If the elevator...
+1 on what Tony said. For example yesterday i had to cut my flying session short so when i got home I discharged 9 batteries down to storage with them all connected in parallel. No problem as long as they are all roughly the same voltage at the start and all the same cell count.
