    700 Kds agile 7.2

I had an issue with the Agile, it was chewing up the helical crown gear that drives the torque tube. The UK KDS dealer was out of parts so i ordered from Hawk-RC in Hong Kong, expecting the heli to be grounded for a couple of weeks. Amazingly the bits arrived in four days! Hard to believe...

Was the problem solved?.. Curious minds would like to know:)

    500 The end is near!

First double check that your mechanical setup is correct, i.e. all the servo arms are dead on level at zero pitch. If they arent you need to get them level which helps make +/- collective pitch equal. If even with servo arms level you still have unequal +/- collective pitch then come out of the...

Yeah, the mix is the same. Remember though that you need to set up two identical mixes.

The AR7700 is a pretty advanced receiver. It has single line PPM or SRXL output. If you are using the single line output (good idea to do so) then you need to plug the wire into the SXRL output on the Rx and select SXRL in the receiver type in the Spirit setup software.

Extreme Flight Edge 540T EXP 48"

Glad to hear that you like it so much. Mine is nearly 6 years old now but still looks and flies great. I've been flying helis mostly as of late, but seeing your Edge makes me want to dust mine off and give it a whirl.

    Scale Vario Robinson R22

Yes, nice build! I look forward to seeing it take to the skies. The sat holders are neat and very clever, but personally I don't see anything wrong with the tried and tested 'bit of double sided tape'? (maybe i'm just lacking imagination) One thing i have started doing on all my sats is putting...

250 Solo pro 228p help needed

Sorry, not trying to steal anyones thunder, just trying to sum up the options as i saw them to make a simple punch list for the OP to consider. FWIW the battery had not been mentioned and (assuming the body doesnt weigh a ton) is probably the most likely cause IMHO.

250 Solo pro 228p help needed

You shouldnt have to be changing motors or adjusting pitch angle for the heli to fly. it should fly just fine in standard condition, sure it wont be a rocket ship but it should lift off the ground and fly around without any problem. So IMHO you need to be looking for what's wrong with it...

450 Building some Align T-Rexs and get read for questions.

Move it fast, really jerk it over quickly and you should see it move. The swash has to move as though it's trying to remain level, so the swash movement must be opposite to the direction of lean of the heli. It's very important that this is done right, get it reversed and the first flight will...

    500 The end is near!

Rodney, I don't know if you have one of the Hobbywing programming boxes? They do make programming a lot easier and quicker and with less room for error so highly recommended if you think you might end up using Hobbywing ESC's on a few helis. But you can do it the old fashioned way with beeps...

    500 The end is near!

I'd just use the one in the Hobbywing ESC. It's actually much higher rated because it's 25A peak vs 10A peak for the Castle (10A is actually plenty for a 500 but more never hurts!). Plus it's simpler and tidier to do it that way. I'm using the inbuilt Hobbywing 10/25A internal BEC on my Agile...

FBL Gyro If you have a Spirit gyro you must read this

Yes, those new Hobbywing ESC's have really powerful built in BEC's and they are voltage adjustable up to 8V. The 160A hobbywing in my Agile 7.2 has a BEC rated at up to 25A!

I wish i know that you were getting a HW ESC, you could have used the discount code 'RCHELINATION' to get 20% off at Hobbywingdirect.com . i just ordered three ESC's from them; another 160A HV V4 and two 100A HV V3. They are great ESC's the soft start and governor are superb. Looking forward to...

450 Building some Align T-Rexs and get read for questions.

I used to own a DX7 and have has a number of Spektrum Tx's and they all bind perfectly fine with the throttle closed. Having said that there is no reason to use the throttle cut switch on an electric heli. Just activate throttle hold. Like a said before, regarding throttle activating from mid...

Yes, some ESC's still come with them. I assume it's because there are people still using MHz band radios which might from having the choke installed.

That's not a magnet. It's called a 'Choke'. It's there to block radio frequency 'noise' being transmitted from the ESC to the receiver. They were important back in the days of MHz radio bands but with 2.4GHz they aren't really necessary, hence why many ESC's don't have them anymore.

Actually with a flybarless heli you should never use any trims. So did you calibrate the ESC as i suggested?
