    Piro Tuning (Spirit Pro)

Phil, Too late now but the gears are available as a separate parts. The tail bevel gears are Align part #H60G003XXT and the front ones are #H60G002XXT. In fact I'm sure I have some in my spares box. Give the front umbrella gears a close inspection plus the gear on the bottom of the counter...

    Spektrum Broken DX6 help question

Hard learned rules: Never leave a Tx stood up on any raised surface where it could conceivably fall off of. Rest it on it's back and well away from the edge. Some Tx's 'walk' if the vibrate alert goes off so either disable vibrate or put some rubber feet on the Tx so it doesnt walk when vibrating.

    General New Plane Needs Engine

A radial in a P-51 would be sacrilege for sure:eek: An inline twelve cylinder water cooled would be the scale option (the real one of course had a Packard built Rolls Royce Merlin V12).. But there aren't many RC V12 engines around!

Welcome to the forum. I was watching a Trex 600N and 700e fly just this weekend (not mine).. The guy flying 600N especially put on a great show.

    450 450 L Dominator swashplate issue

Yep, that's the correct part. The 450 Pro DFC and the 450L use the same swash.

    600 Trex 600 l dominator/ need help installing gpro

Roy, I think I covered most of it in the previous post but just a few further points to think about You batteries are way WAY too big. Being very familiar with this heli I cant see any way you could even physically fit batteries that massive in, let alone the effect the weight would have. I...

    600 Trex 600 l dominator/ need help installing gpro

I can probably help as I've used all the same gear in the same heli (trex 600 Pro/L). The Castle Edge 80HV ESC doesnt have a built in BEC. The three wire servo type plug from the ESC goes to the ESC/throttle output on the Gpro. The second plug with the single white wire is for RPM output so...

    Piro Tuning (Spirit Pro)

Hi Phil, I had similar trouble trying to do piros in the early days and I still dont really know if it was my dumb thumbs, or not having the heli setup properly, or a bit of both. In this case with the Spirit Pro setup there is very little that could be wrong because there is no specific...

    hey guys

Welcome to the forum Chevell69. I'd be interested to know what sort of RC models you have tried. Quads are certainly the 'big thing' in the hobby at the moment. There is no denying that the technology used in them is amazing, There is quite a range of multi rotors these days from the 'normal'...

Hi Roy, Welcome to the forum, that's quite some years of experience you bring with you. I'm sure your knowledge will be invaluable around here. Do you have any photos of your models over the years? I have a Trex 600 Pro in my fleet which is basically the same heli as the 600L Dominator so I...

    Hover Training Video

Phil, Yes, if 10 does give you 360 degrees per second then if you set the Tx rates to 90% that would give you 90% of that value, or 324 deg per second. Personally I just adjust until it 'feels right'. I leave all my rates in the Tx at 100% and if i need to adjust i do it in the FBL, but 'middle...

    Hover Training Video

The 'rotation rate' is the maximum angular rate of rotation. It can be adjusted for cyclic (pitch and roll) and rudder (yaw). I'm not sure what the units are in the Spirit but if it's like other FBL controllers '10' probably results in a rotation of one full 360 degree rotation per second. The...

Batteries 2S Lipo 5000 mah and 2S Lipo 5200 mah Together same system

If it were mine I'd give the 5200 and 5000 a go and just check end voltage after use to make sure that the smaller battery wasn't running much lower than the larger one. The difference is only 200mAh which is 4% of battery capacity, so not very much.

Trex 600 and Goblin 630 this weekend

Yeah, as far as I can tell the full size Kbar works just like the genuine Vbar. In fact I have a spare genuine Vbar that I intend to fit but I've not got around to it because the Kbar works fine. One good thing is if swapping between Kbar and Vbar (or vice versa) I can just download the setup...

Batteries Pulse Lipo 4000 mAh 2S for Dx9

The description for that battery says it's suitable for the DX7S, DX8 or DX9, so it should work fine in your new DX9: PULSE LIPO 4000mAh 2S 7.4V - For DX7S/DX8/DX9 TX - LiPo Battery

Batteries 2S Lipo 5000 mah and 2S Lipo 5200 mah Together same system

What Uri said.. Do you plan on series or parallel connection? Parallel would be no problem at all (making a 2S 10200mAh battery). Series could work too but you would have to be careful not to over discharge the smaller battery, with the difference in capacity between the two batteries being...

    450 Trex 450L Dominator Oscillations/ESC & Motor Hot shutdonw

Uri, I missed your last post while I was typing. I gain can be adjusted in the 3GX, but confusingly in the 3GX software they call is 'rudder locking gain'. It's set too high by default. I found that on anything but very big helis rudder locking gain needed reducing to around 40 (default is 70 if...

    450 Trex 450L Dominator Oscillations/ESC & Motor Hot shutdonw

+1 on this^^^ The gain pots on the 3GX control aileron and elevator gain, these are not what causes the tail to shake. To stop tail shake you need to reduce tail gain which can only be adjusted from the transmitter. What transmitter and receiver are you using?

450 Need lots of Help Please beginner

Probably at this stage I'd recommend to keep the setup as simple as possible. The simplest option is to simply forget about rate mode on the tail, as Uri said, no one really uses that these days except old school flyers who learned that way. The default setup in the software is heading hold (HH)...

    Batteries Battery Resurrection

FWIW on some of the batteries I recovered there was no detectable damage. Their IR measured similar to others from the same batch and they performed the same as far as I could tell. Some of these batteries are now 5 years old and all but one from the batch are still serviceable though they have...
