    700 My New T-Rex 700X Build

Yeah, that's true, you would be have to be slamming the sticks around pretty hard to ever get the servos to move far enough for this to happen in flight.

    700 My New T-Rex 700X Build

One thing i should have added.. ideally you would want to use slightly longer mounting screws for the servos (M2.5 x 12mm) because otherwise there isn't much thread engagement by the time you add the spacer.

    700 My New T-Rex 700X Build

Phil / All 700X owners A heads up on a issue with the standard Super Combo servos binding on the 700X: If you apply full positive pitch combined with back and left or right cyclic, the front swash servo arms hit the alloy heatsink. This causes the servos to stall which can potentially burn...

Hi all... An older guy getting back into it...

The model looks very nice, is it your own design? Maybe be careful on launch. Those high mounted fans can cause quite a bit of pitch down at low airspeed and high power.

    450 Budget 450

As I understand it 'yes' all Tarot parts are interchangeable with Align parts. Though this is just based on what I've heard as I've never owned a Tarot heli.

500 WalkeraD03, 450, wanting to put a Three Main Blade system on

The Trex 600 (pro) has an official 3 blade conversion for head and the tail. I don't know if Walkera ever did a 3 blade version? You can get three blade heads for the trex 450, if the shaft size was the same you may be able to use one on the Walkera? You don't really gain anything in terms of...

    450 Budget 450

Tarot are Align clones. The Tarot 450 Pro is a clone of the Align Trex 450 Pro and the Tarot 450 Sport is a clone of the old Trex 450SE

    450 Budget 450

Bear in mind though that Walkera have discontinued all their helis, they now only make multirotors (drones). What you see for sale now is the last of any old stock sitting on shelves. How much longer spares will be available is anyone's guess. There are lots of very cheap Trex 450 'clones' out...

Hey what's up guys? Hoping to stick around for awhile. :D

Welcome Vyrn, Hoping to see and hear more about your helis. If there is anything we can do to help dont be shy to ask.. Steve

700 Trex 700X tail gear victim

That will be fine. I'm using the new tail box in mine but with the old black gears. the black gears have to be modified slightly to fit the new box but that's just a 5 minute job. On the original tail box you usually should to put a 0.2-0.3mm shim behind the front TT gear to get the mesh...

    Chargers New Parallel Charging System

Don't believe all that you hear in your local hobby shop! There is no advantage to balancing the battery before connecting to a parallel board. All that you need to be sure of is that the batteries are in a roughly similar state of charge.. Say no more than 0.2V per cell different. In practice...

    ESC YEP ESC power up

You didn't answer my question though.. Was it bolted down? (hard too see how it could be if it fell off the bench)........ and what motor and battery were you using? It's easier to help if info is provided otherwise it's just guess work. Brushless motors are simple things, if you pull the can...

    ESC YEP ESC power up

I'm curious as to what you mean by the motor 'snapped'... Did you have it securely attached to some kind out mount? If it was just laying on the table then it was sure to end badly, motors must be securely mounted to something solid. If you didn't mount it securely them I'm afraid it's 'user...

    Chargers New Parallel Charging System

Phil, Just wondering why you would want to balance batteries in the field? Charging in the field is fair enough if you have the facilities for it but purely balancing a battery (after use) would serve no useful purpose that I can think of? You really don't even need to balance every time you...

    Chargers New Parallel Charging System

Dennis, I mentioned it in my first post. The power supply units are: A single HP ESP120 (2950W/48V) for the iCharger Duo Dual HP DPS-600PB supplies (1150W/24V) that power the Reaktor. So a potential of over 4000W in total, though even with my chargers maxed out I can only use about 2500W

    ESC YEP ESC power up

Is it the LV (6S) or HV (14S) version? If it's the HV then it's 'OPTO' (no BEC) so it needs to have 5V supplied on the throttle connection. If it's the LV then it has a BEC so supplies it's own 5V power. The YEP is a clone of the German YGE speed controller, so if you want instructions use...

700 Trex 700X tail gear victim

If it was caused by the tail blades brushing the ground then yes, the raked landing gear is 100% the way to go. If you go with the red gears be aware that there are two different ratios. You have the new 23t gear and the standard 22t gear both of which now come in red plastic. The 23t gives a...

700 Trex 700X tail gear victim

You might try the new 'beefed-up' tail case. Stripping has been blamed on the case flexing and allowing the mesh to open up. Part number for the new case set is #H70T013XX Also the gears sometimes need shimming to get a good tight mesh, although the new case seems to be better in this respect.

Servos Replacing Servos On Trex 600 Pro DFC

I can guarantee that you wont have any servo issues if you run HV servos off a 2S LiPo, I've flown several helis that way.
