FBL Gyro Tuning B.D. Axon Gyro on my T-Rex 700X

The cold certainly had a big effect on the plastic, I could feel that it was less flexible when cold without even hitting it with the hammer. It was still strong when cold, but just not as able to flex in order to absorb impact. The plastic appears to be the same as other landing gear legs on...

FBL Gyro Tuning B.D. Axon Gyro on my T-Rex 700X

I've seen similar breaks in cold weather before but generally only when the component was given a fair 'whack'. I wonder if Align are using some sort of new grade of plastic that's more prone to becoming brittle at lower temperatures? If i can find the landing gear leg that i broke in my crash i...

FBL Gyro Tuning B.D. Axon Gyro on my T-Rex 700X

That's a pain! Yes, very cold weather will make plastic go brittle, almost 'glass like' so that it can break under a shock loading. How cold was it? Make sure to double check the torque tube front bevel gears and the small spur gear that drives the bevels, they tend to be the first things to...

Batteries EXPERIMENT Glowing 1000 degree KNIFE VS LiPo BATTERY LITHIUM POLYMER

Good video. It's a similar result to what I've got when I've chopped a lipo with an axe or knocked a nail through. It's a little frustrating to be honest, I originally hoped for a fireball like you see in some videos, but 99% of the time all you get is a lot of white smoke and maybe, if you are...

    600 My stretched Trex 600 Pro (626mm)

Yeah, i can try. Basically 'stretching' is fitting a longer tail boom. This in turn allows bigger main (and/or tail) blades to be used without fear of them clipping each other. The advantage of larger blades is that you get lower disk loading so you can run lower headspeed and the heli feels...

600 trex 600N servos tilt to one side on spool up

Just to add my voice to the chorus: It sounds very much like a vibration related problem. Adding mass to the FBL controller can help, so you would typically attach the FBL to a thick metal plate, then attach the metal plate via vibration damping pads (try double thickness) to the heli. It's also...

    600 My stretched Trex 600 Pro (626mm)

Kronchy, You need a boom, torque tube and pushrod from a Trex 700. They are too long so you need to cut them down to something sensible. I can give you all the details of what to do, the torque tube is the trickiest job.

    Pics of my lil fleet

Hi Kronchy, i added the youtube video link to your post. Nice fleet!.. your Trex 600 Pro looks like mine did when I started out with it but over the years I've done lots of modifications. This is my 600 a few weeks ago:

FBL Gyro Tuning B.D. Axon Gyro on my T-Rex 700X

Phil, I'm surprised having gyro gain assignable to a slider or digital trim wasn't a default option of the Jeti? It's something that is available on most Tx's. I tend to only use it while I'm setting the heli up, once i get to a setting I'm happy with i disable gyro trim adjustment to prevent...

    Hello fellow hobbyists

Hi Kronchy, I've got a Trex 600 too, I was flying it just yesterday. I'd love to see some photos of the fleet! Steve

    Misc Coaxial Rotor Thrust

Alexander, The attachment is invalid so we cant see the photo. A coaxial has two counter rotating rotors on the same shaft.. is that what you have in mind? Calculating thrust is very complicated, you cant really say 'a motor can produce X amount of thrust' because it very much depends on what...

    450 Align 470L set-up with Beast-x

Sounds like you may have the swash type set up wrong in the Tx. The Microbeast like most FBL (except the 3GX) requires that you set the swash type to 'normal' / 'single servo'. This turns off all swash mixing because the Microbeast does that itself. If you have the swash type set correctly then...

    700 My New T-Rex 700X Build

I'll stick something in the 'motors' sub forum. I'm hoping the special pliers arrive today or tomorrow as we have a storm blowing in which is going to mean no flying for a few days. I could do with something to keep me busy rather than spending all of the Christmas period eating and drinking...

    700 My New T-Rex 700X Build

The hard part is bending the thick copper wire around the ends on the stator 'teeth' while keeping the wire nice and tightly packed against the stator. To do this the ideal tool is pliers that have parallel motion jaws which you need to grind down to be thin enough to fit in the gaps between the...
