Looks like you have it plugged to the bind/data port. Try moving it along one to the throttle port.

The photos are blurry so hard to be sure but the plug into the ESC could be plugged in upside down. Is the black stuff on the wires tape?

450 Tarot Zyx-s2 3-axis Gyro Vs Mini Kbar

You could grind a new dimple into the shaft? Kbars are normally reliable but they are clones so you can never be 100% sure. One thing to try is if the servo doesn't initialise first time is to just powe cycle the heli by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. If that fixes it then it's not...

450 Tarot Zyx-s2 3-axis Gyro Vs Mini Kbar

The photos looks ok. The ball should be further out on the servo arm but that would only increase the throw. Your suggestion that the 'dimple' on the shaft may be a couple on mm too far in makes sense.

Phil, Is there anywhere that still has the original Velos 880 in stock ?

    Velos-rotors 880

They have a dedicated web site for the UAV: Velos UAV – Fully Redundant Proven Design The site doesnt mention price, i'm guessing it depends very much on the spec you want and they are built to individual requirements. But I know from experience with much smaller industrial application UAV's...

600 Is Gyro Required With A Four Blade Heli

Tony is as usual spot on. A 4 blade head is no more stable than 2. It is possible to fly a heli without fly bar or FBL but it's a battle. Given that you can pick up a FBL controller for $20 I don't think it's worth even considering to be honest

700 What is the best Speed Controller for the Trex 800.

As Tony said, the way you connect the wires is not important, the colours dont mean anything. Other than direction of rotation the way you connect them makes no difference. If the motor spins backward then swap any two of the three wires and it will reverse rotation direction, alternatively...

The tail mechanism setup in those pictures looks fine. What about a photo of the servo arm end?

There must be something assembled wrong. Hopefully the photos will make it clear.

Sounds like you might have the tail mechanism assembled wrong. Can you take some photos?

If the servo arm itself isnt moving far then it may be that you have the servo type set wrongly. You need to make sure that the centre pulse width of the servo is set right, it's either 760us or 1520us. If you set a 1520us servo to 760us then the travel is greatly reduced. Im kinda confused...

    General Longer Flight Times

Yes, he received his and it was largely his findings that I was referring to, though the video isnt his. He did say that firmware upgrades are coming regularly and they seem to be helping but it is not 'there' just yet. What i didn't fully appreciate is that the tracking works by GPS. The...

    General Longer Flight Times

Phil, You should probably check the user reviews before committing to the Soloshot 3. The initial reviews from other modellers who are trying to use them for tracking models in flight are less than great. The tracking speed and accuracy seems to struggle with the fast motion and rapid changes...

    700 700X First Mods

Phil, This problem I had was quite extreme. The servo would move to and 'stick' at full travel, it would then be totally unresponsive to input from the Tx. If I nudged the control rod it would 'jump' to a new position but remain unresponsive to Tx input. After a few nudges it started working...

    700 700X First Mods

Yeah, the colour coordination does leave something to be desired but not much can be done about that. 'Chrome yellow' is the Scorpion trade mark colour that they use on all their motors. I'd prefer it if they made motors and servos in 'neutral' colours (black or silver), but it's not something i...

    700 700X First Mods

Finally I replaced the tail servo after the original Align servo developed an intermittent fault. Randomly it would 'stick' in position, a nudge of the control rod would make it jump to a new position then eventually after a couple of 'nudges' it would start working again. This I think explains...

    700 700X First Mods

I also fitted the grip control arms from the new Trex 760X. These new arms are canted downward slightly and are intended to even up the + and - collective travel. As standard I had to adjust end points in the Tx to get even travel which while far from uncommon is a bit annoying. these are the...
