What Did You Do Today???

1000 years of chickens this time of year, let the chickens set em up. Or go solar but that is going to get expensive fast! Battery storage is 3/4s of your setup. Solar pays off but its is a HUGE buy in.

If you want more chickens, it would be exponentially cheaper to build a hen pen and let them sit on their eggs. Just my 2 cents

That is what we are thinking about doing. The hens will keep the chicks at the required 95º during the night. We just can't do that right now because of the 5 roosters that we have. They will kill the chicks quickly. So once we get rid of the 4 of the most aggressive roosters, we will let the hens sit on eggs. But only select hens will be allowed to sit on eggs. We do have a section just for chicks so once they hatch and are feathered, we will just move then over there.

Solar is one option that we are thinking about, but will likely never happen. Just not enough money to pay for it. I don't even have the money to pay the extra money that is on our electric bill this month thanks to this 'experiment'. So my post in my aquarium thread may get even worse when our electricity gets shut off and we lose internet... I love hard times...

Heat it not going to be a problem. its going to get hoe real soon. Just keep the roosters out. You dont need to spend money. let the chickens do what the do

I'm working with brother Tom, the ET guy, on a ultraviolet exposure box. Hopefully soon we'll be able to make smaller more detailed PCBs...

The meat is tougher than you would get with meat chickens. Hence why I would either smoke them or put them in a soup or stew or something.

Supposed to be way more flavor like you would get with a wild turkey. Did you know wild turkey is all dark meat? Now you know lol.

So the server decided to reboot itself 5.5 hours ago and I have no idea why. So if the server went down around 1400, why did it go down.... This was not my doing....

I was just moments away from texting you about the server... but it came back up after I went to another site and returned... Just thought it was you doing something.

Nope, wasn't me. It had been somewhere around 250 days that the server had been up, so a restart was definitely required, but if the server locked up, my host has no way of knowing. This is an unmanaged server. They just supply power and an internet connection to it, that's it. and yes, it's dedicated so no other machines are on my server. so I'm thinking they may have had a power outage which should have full time power backup. They just installed brand new Diesel Generators a couple years ago. Not sure, is what it is I guess.

Good News and Bad News

Good News: I received my package of 50 JST-ZH connectors which is what the end is on a satellite receiver for Spektrum.

Bad News: These things are tiny and my servo crimpers will not clamp down on them hard enough to form a good seal. So these are useless to me for the time being.

Who likes great fireworks?
It's much like the kitchen when making them, believe it or not. But just don't add heat or static spark ; till your absolutely ready to do so!! HA! LOL!!!!!

We used to be big on them, but then money was an issue and we haven't really purchased any in a very long time. Never have made my own, I would surely lose a limb doing that....

Ha! I know how to keep Murphy at bay..

Went camping last night then headed to lake Erie this morning.

We bagged 2 sheephead and threw them back. These fish are not very good to eat. We had to take a break and go eat. Going to go back after we eat.
