Did you have an antenna on it? If not, be careful. You shouldn't ever fire up the VTX without an antenna, you can burn them up.

Won't be around that late. Wife has to get up at 0300 or so tomorrow morning, so shutting it down early tonight.

@Tony Can you power up your stack and see what the temps get to? I guess you have a temp gun... :)

I powered mine and in less than a minute, the FC got to 165F. That can't be right. It just don't make sense to me. Could it be that I don't have my settings right in betaflight? Something in the Tx?

I may end up trying to send this stack back to Banggood.

Yes, I had an antenna on it. I think the temps were coming from my FC instead. See the above post.

It is normal for the FC to get a little warm when it is not running. Anything under 100C (212F) is pretty normal. Rule of thumb, if you can hold your finger on it for 5 seconds, even 3 seconds, and you are safe. But yes, I have a temp gun and I can get a temp reading. But it will be tomorrow. I'm up later than I should be for getting up as early as I have to. I will also have to solder all of the wires back onto the stack to take the temp.

That sounds like a lot of trouble. I will reconnect my battery and see what the temps do for about a minute. Man I'm about frustrated with this thing...not a good first experience. But these experiences are what teaches us best.

If your like me, you will love to hate that plastic housing lol. Gets in the way when you are not charging. But yes, they are chunky little batteries lol.

I will work on putting the stack back together here soon and try to get some kind of temp reading or feeling. My temp gun is out in the studio and it's friggin cold outside lmao.

I guess the temp of the stack will be lower as it’s flying. I left it plugged for about 3 mins last night and it got to about 180F.

And that confirms it, I definitely received a completely bad stack! Yours is not doing anything like mine did! Congrats on the maiden. Now it's time to get it out and start doing some flips and power loops!!!

Thanks Tony! It felt great even just flying it that little bit. All this cash and time that has been put into it is paying off. I need to get my FPV setup now.

You mentioned something yesterday that I need to set to 1600 or something. I couldn't remember what it was.

Your roll, pitch and yaw, you need to set them to 1000/2000. do this just like we did the throttle.

Oh, yea on these quads they are massive. I have them on the small 650mah 4s packs for the X140 and they are gigantic! lmao.
