Wahoo , my wife just ordered me this kit for a valentines present . It’s back in stock do she scarfed it up for me. This will be my first helicopter build so I might be asking some goofy
Questions also got the DX9 for Christmas so I’m trying to get the feel for the radio. I’ve mostly flown planes and drones and micro helicopters and the king bee 11 . I’ve always liked the helicopters the best. I plan on getting back on the simulator and reading up for best basic flight setup for radio if anyone has a complete DX9 docile setup to help me with for this particular heli I want to get it right Thanks in advance james..

Although the 470 LP is a blistering good deal I think. You can buy a battery and some tools for what the LM kit cost. I have some decent helicopter tools gonna check into a few more items. I need to find a good battery and pitch gauge to finish up the kit. Gonna order in the reciever smoggie recommended.

It's not bad at all. Sorry if it sounded that way, almost had to go to the hospital because of a fan on a GPU getting a hold of my finger and tearing it to shreads. Typing is not the easiest thing right now. I think you made the right choice, it's the choice I would have made. People say aluminum just bends, in my opinion if you bend these aluminum parts, you have a lot more to worry about than just a blade grip lmao. Metal all the way for me. None of that plastic stuff.

Thanks guys, Tony ouch yea I read you hammered your piggy’s ina cpu fan you liven on the wild side for sure . soak it in peroxide cleaner or did you get stitches. I’m itchen yo get this kit and get started on the build it’s a great looking bird and I have a lot to learn. Figured Tony’s basic heli DX9 helicopter setup is a good place to start with radio . I’m more concerned with getting the bird dialed in that the build itself. Enterprize hobby has a good tutorial video series.

I have never had stitches in my life. I was cutting carpet with an Xacto knife when I was 16 and laid my forearm open on my right arm. I could see the muscle moving lol. Some shop towels and electrical tape cured that little leak. Actually it never put out a single drop of blood... It was weird lmao. My finger on the other hand, Lets just say it's a good thing vampires are not real lmao. And again, blue shop towels and since the electrical tape was out in the shop, I used scotch tape lmao. Ain't got no time for the hospital lmao.

And yes, I can't wait to see your build. If you have any questions about the Tx setup, just post up and we will help out. I need to make some new videos...

Ok I’m about to order in my RX and Battery sets for the Trex 470 lm , A local pilot just built this kit and really likes this setup with the Beast plus FL. I think this is same RX that Smoggie recommended it’s reasonably priced setup, has anyone used the Gen ace batts

FWIW that's not the same receiver. The one I'd recommend is the SPM4649T. The SPM4649T has dual antenna diversity and telemetry and does not require the beastX satellite adapter cable to connect.

You cant go wrong with gens-Ace batteries, they aren't the cheapest but they are good value for money.

Thanks I’ll Chechem out.
Ok helicopter pilots think back to your first kit build. I’m wanting to get up a tool list.
Ideas, tools needed, gauges etc. I have a good helicopter starter tool kit and use the dynamite prophet sport quad for battery charging. Thanks for any info , my helicopter kit should be here soon. I’m like a kid in a candy store ready to get started.

Hey liquid1. This is just my opinion but I would diffidently add these to your collection IMG_2389.JPG Digital pitch gauge and caliper :)

The digital pitch gauge and caliper are good additions. Ball link pliers are pretty much essential if you dont already have some. You want only to use good quality hex wrenches. The cheaper ones tend to round off the sockets in the screws.
