Got the motor leads lengthened by 1.5". Bought #10 nylon spacers for the props which work great! Installed the stand-off to the bottom plate with threadlock. Decided to mount the Rx to the bottom so the antennas don't contact the props.I'm not sure if I will do it or not but maybe a length of heat shrink over the motor leads would be wise?

Put the spacer on top of the prop. Much larger area for the prop to sit on. And more secure. As for heat shrink, you can, but wont' make much difference. I don't do it to mine. Rx, should be fine. Just make sure the antennas are going straight out.

FYI... This is what is on the box the motors came in. They should work well with commer wires.

I have to make my own pigtail battery connector. I have some 14ga wire. That should work great right?

Would it hurt anything for the Rx antennas to point backwards at a 45 degree angle?

What is the amp rating on your 14ga wire?

And I always stick mine out straight when I can. Shouldn't matter though.

I saw another post on here that had a 50a ESC (hobbywing) and it had this wire on it. If it can be put on a 50 amp esc, it should be just fine on yours. As for the amp rating, it sounds like they are using AC voltage as the test. In a house, 14ga is 20 amps, 10ga is 30 amps. But, that is rated with a single solid conductor. This has many small ones otherwise known as Spaghetti wire. Very flexible with a silicone insulator making it very flexible and able to resist very high heat. But very soft. AND perfect for your application lol.

I went to bed early. Been working in the heat all week and was beat. Hope it goes well with the little guy! I know I can't wait to get all my parts for this quad!

I'm looking at batteries right now and the Tattu 650 weighs 74g while the 850mah comes in at 96g. Is the added weight worth the extra capacity or will I not see any increase in flight time? Add 22g and get an extra 200mAh of battery...I can't help but think it's not worth it.

Please advise on if I should go with XT30 or modify to XT60 on the smaller 4S packs. I see most of them are the smaller connectors and if it is best for smaller quads then I'll go with that. I ask so I can plan for an addition to my charging case. I got the Y splitter for my charger and am now ready for another parallel board. I was initially going to go with an EC3 board but may go with an XT30 version.

Decided to leave the straws on the wires and add some heat shrink to stiffen them up. Should work just fine.

I put XT60's on my 140. Little big but not bad. As for mah, I run 650's and never run anything else so can't comment.

Just wonderful...turns out my FC didn't come in yesterday. Tracking says delayed due to weather or other natural disaster. No telling when I'll get it. Driver probably had car issues. Who knows...

I got my FC stack today. I love it! All stacks should be this simple to connect. Simply press the FC onto the ESC and done. Just have to solder on the wires. Below are a few photos, it's as close to an unboxing as I'll get.

Also, I have been looking at cameras. I think I may go with a Runcam Robin. Anyone have this camera?

Oh. And I have to re-do my motor extensions. The heat shrink is going to be in the way of the point where I need to solder it to the ESC. What fun.
