Thats right Treff for the HH and rate. In HH on the bench, when you give a command to the tail the gyro responds. When you return the stick to centre, the gyro has no more commands because the heli is not moving, so it stays where you told it to.

That is normal. You told the gyro to move to a new "heading" and since the blades are not spinning, the heli can't move, but the gyro is going to hold the blades at a pitch until it gets there. Hence the term "Heading Hold". I have (yup, I know lol) been meaning to do a video on that to help clear things up.
