Got everything mounted and ready. The motor seems to be getting hot though. Dont know if it's the battery, or the esc. neither one of them get hot. Just the motor.

The motor pulls the power, so I'm guessing the motor is over propped. Also, running static tests will heat the motor up more than flying it. When it's flying through the air, it will not use as much power.

You think a 11.1 battery is to much for this motor? I got a 18a esc. BPH - BP A2204-19 Brushless Outrunner Motor I may be trying to push to much power to it.

It's rated for a 3s battery, so you should be fine. I'm thinking one of the 800mah 3s like is used in the trex 250 would be perfect. But if you want to run a 2s, let me know and we can work out a deal on all of these batteries that I have.
