Apprentice S 15e

If you fly from the grass, another plus is to put slightly larger tires on it. I have a friend that has an un-modified Apprentice and it seems to handle well on our runway, but can't maneuver in the taller grass.

When I was first learning with this plane, if you landed just slightly hard, it would pull out the plastic clevis on the nose gear control rod where it attached to the rudder servo. These were the small gray parkzone clevis's and I would keep at least 8 or so in my flight bag. I think they are sold in packs of 4. But on the good side, it sure beats breaking servos!

i had the same problem. a set of 3 inch dubro wheels and replacing the stock rod with .256 rod and a quik connector at the servo solved the problem and made it a joy to fly the plane off grass
