Power Supply's Power suply pins and connections

Yeah, the PSU would short out and possibly catch fire but it is only a problem if you wire the PSU's in series for 24V (maybe the ones you have a parallel for 12V)?. The 'problem' is that in a standard PSU the DC output is negative is grounded to the case and the case is grounded to earth via...

Power Supply's Power suply pins and connections

Connecting in series doubles the volts but amps stays the same. Parallel doubles the amps but volts stay the same. Watts double in either case. It's absolutely essential that if connecting in series you isolate the internal earth connection on the second PSU. If you don't it will just go 'bang'...

    Packed & Ready! :)

Thanks Tony, I'm pretty sure that the rules are the same worldwide, so i should be fine to put a couple of 6S 1300mAh batteries for the Chase 360 in my bag:biggrin1:

    Packed & Ready! :)

That's really kind. I checked the map and it would be a straightforward journey from where I'm staying to Riverview. Let me get back to you by PM a little closer to the time if that's ok? It's kinda hard to make firm plans when you are travelling with the boss (wife) and three grown up...

    700 My T-Rex 700X Build

PPS... didnt the 700X Super Combo come with the 'BeastX Plus' FBL included.. or did you take the version of the kit without it?

    700 My T-Rex 700X Build

Phil, looking forward to the build.. Just one quick observation.. I guess that you do appreciate that the Demon 3X FBL has no 'self leveling' or 'rescue' functionality? To get self leveling and rescue in the Demon range you would need the more expensive 3SX. If you have been using self level on...

    What Next?

So I'm guessing that the box is too long to fit into a large suitcase? Reason i ask is I'm visiting the US in a week's time and was toying with picking one up while I was there. Even with the current exchange rate I could save about 15-20% on UK price. I might be better just waiting for the...

UK guys is this for real?

There is some truth in it. At the moment there is a first draft of new European legislation that's out for discussion. Like the US rules, if passed it would not only be 'drones' (multi rotors) that were effected but anything that flies under remote control. The good news is that it's far from...

FBL Gyro Fine Tuning with Spirit Pro

Yeah, the longer links should do the job fine. i've used the same trick on my helis before. I know they are a good secure fit on the 550/600 pushrod because i tried them on a spare one i have, but just be aware that about 2mm at the outer end of the hole is unthreaded, so dont screw them out too...

Phil, The links were sent on Monday so assuming your Customs people dont mess things up you should have them any time.

    Spektrum DX6 Binding Problem

The DX6 has a rigid antenna cover (unlike the previous hinged type) so I don't think you could do any damage by picking it up by the antenna. For info...the antenna itself is just piece of wire, identical to the antenna wire on the receiver. It just sits loosely inside the plastic cover, you...

Welcome to the forum Harford. Nice collection of helis you have there. I have a Trex 600 Pro too, I've had is a few years and still like it a lot. Here it is flying a week ago:

    What Next?

I'd have to travel hundreds of miles to find a dealer that had anything decent in stock, so it's 'online' or give up the hobby.

    What Next?

The 700X really is very nice looking heli and as you say, if you are looking for an all in package Align is unbeatable at the price. Many of the online dealers have 'Black Friday' and/or Christmas sales, so if you are in no hurry that could be a time to make the purchase. I picked my Goblin 770...

    What Next?

Phil, I've not much experience of the Trex 800e other than seeing one that was used as professional camera carrying survey ship (they are popular for that job). Basically the current 800e is a stretched version of the 'old' 700L. Most of the parts are shared with the 700. To the best of my...

    What Next?

Yeah, that's the old 'L' model. The price looks pretty good but they might struggle to get hold of it as it's out of stock in most places. There is nothing wrong with the 'L' model. The 'X' model is not all new but it is quite a bit different, it's got new narrower frame design, better ESC, new...

    What Next?

The brand new Trex 700X looks really nice, I'm quite tempted to try one myself. Then I remind myself that I've already got more big helis than I can fly, so do I really need another:scratchchin:
