    600 Bank Switching

If you want to have the motor stop when you pull the collective stick back (no use for inverted but ok for your desired flying style) try this curve: 0-65-70-75-80 nothing magic about 6 degrees that I’m aware of?

    600 Bank Switching

Alex, picking up on the throttle curve discussion: The general idea on a collective pitch heli is that rotor RPM should remain constant. To climb and descend uses change in blade pitch, not change in RPM. For this reason your throttle curve should be ‘flat’ or ‘nearly flat’ . Don’t use a...

    600 Bank Switching

Yes, you can skip it if you wish though banks is useful for setting different stabilisation modes, which is useful for a beginner

    600 Bank Switching

In a sentence: Banks allow different setups to be stored in the FBL to allow different flight characteristics to be selected at the flick of a switch.

Yes bind plug is for DSM satellites. Your SRXL2 receiver has it’s own bind button.

    Projects Making It All Work

Yes, the Axon is a flybarless controller (FBL for short). Normally used on helis that don’t have flybars, hence the name. Some do have a mode for operation with a flybar, I’m not sure about the Axon

Welcome, it can be a steep learning curve but enjoyable

    Servos Tail Servo Not Working

Check that the tail servo is set correctly in the Axon software . That’s 1520us and 270Hz (Max) If that’s ok then yes, you might have fried it by powering at 6.6v. For that servo you need to use a voltage step down on the wire. It’s a very old servo, might want to think about upgrading

    Projects Making It All Work

That's my point, with a heli that has mechanical mixing like yours has, there is no requirement for mixing of the collective servos (a.k.a. CCPM mixing). Mechanical mixing comes from an era before transmitters had electronic CCPM mixing capability. The swash type in the Tx must be set to 'single...

600 Upgrading Trex-600 Esp To Fbl / Dfc

No, you cant really do anything. All the setup is done in the FBL controller, including levelling the arms and assigning the correct swash type. The Tx needs to be left in basic default settings, no trim, no subtrim, no travel adjust, no reversing (yet) and no swash mixing. If you adjust any of...

600 Upgrading Trex-600 Esp To Fbl / Dfc

No, you can’t setup a flybarless heli without a flybarless controller

    Projects Making It All Work

Is the heli flybarless? anyway, you would need to set the FBL for mechanical mixing in the swash type. Transmitter needs to be set to ‘single servo’ swash type

600 Upgrading Trex-600 Esp To Fbl / Dfc

Just delete all of that and setup a new model. You can’t do any setup until you have your FBL controller installed. Swash type has to be set to ‘single servo’

    General Spektrum Dx9 Black

You will need to have the latest firmware installed which will be available for download if you register at Spektrum - The Leader in Spread Spectrum Technology I would guess that the forward programming menu is only available if you are connected to the FC6250HX

    Goblin 570 First Build

It might be that the screws are a hair too long and stick into the slot where the tray slides. If so adding a washer under the screw head will fix it.

600 Upgrading Trex-600 Esp To Fbl / Dfc

When doing these conversions the length of the main shaft may need to be adjusted. You used to be able to buy a range of different main shaft lengths for the 600 but most have been discontinued now. Lest time I put a non standard head on my own 600 I bought a long shaft and cut it down. I cant...

600 Convert My Trex-600 To Fbl

The BEC input on the Spirit can be used for a couple of purposes: Most large ESCs that have built in BECs feature dual output leads (because each lead individually is only good for about 4A, which is not enough for a large heli).. so the extra lead goes to the bEC port Connect stand alone BEC...

600 Convert My Trex-600 To Fbl

Rdsok is right, just follow the diagram. However my recommendation would not to use a satellite. It’s best to use a serial receiver such as the SPM4651t because that will support the full capabilities of the Spirit, especially integration between the Tx and FBL

600 Upgrading Trex-600 Esp To Fbl / Dfc

No need to replace the blades. FB blades are lighter than FBL and might make the heli more lively, but the difference is quite subtle so unlikely to be an issue
