Its been a hard year financially, but now I have a job :D So i decided to treat myself with a very late birthday present, as i didn't get anything in May.
I'm really looking forward to getting this unit and playing with it. I will also build a power supply to make use of the full 1300W power. First though it will only be powered by my 350W supply I have at the moment.
I will be sure to write about my impressions of it once its in my hands.
I also bought 4 new batteries for my Warp 360 :D Gens Ace 1400mah 6S. Shes gonna have tonnes of power :D

That looks like a cool charger! I look forward to reading your thoughts on it. I am in desperate need of a second charger.

Got mine from Progressive RC in the States. $269 instead of $386 here in the UK. Only $15 shipping. Lets see if the customs man catches it :D Got the batteries from Giant Shark.

Now that is a nice piece of kit, one of the guys in our club has one, does everything and more. Good saving too Lee, i may have a look at that place, see if they can do other cheap chargers like the PL6/8 etc

I was going to build my own PSU, but I found a guy in the US that producing some awesome supplies. They are twin HP DPS 1200 supplies set up as a 24V 1800W 75A supply. And all for $90!!

So for those of you looking at getting into a bigger battery charging set up, but don't have the skills to build your own supply, this could be an option.
I will order mine next week once i get paid. If you are interested, shoot James an email. j.chaplin@mac.com

@ Muranker Yes this is the same guy.
@pj1969 I have seen the coolice ones mate. They are good too. But these are a different PSU. Apartently quieter and they have the power to run my new Icharger to the max. Coolice PSU is 1150W, James is 1800W and my Icharger is 1300W.
I may still go with Coolice though, as the shipping is $56 from the States :(

EDIT: Is see now that Coolice is doing the same DPS 1200 now. So i will go for them. But for you guys in the States I would definitely check out James units if your in the market.

Ian (coolice) is the Robbe Schulter and midland heli team pilot and a really nice guy to talk to, he's the one that's been keeping me up to date on the 3gx issue as he is in direct contact with Align on it,

The psu's he is doing is using the same supply's that Tony and me and a few others have used

His charge box's are £220 fully fitted and ready for your charger, sounds dear, but as Kev knows, a lot of time and effort goes into them.

The two psu's before mod is £30 delivered, wire and connections and bits and bobs is another £15 ish

Then it's just a matter of putting it into a case, that can cost if your not careful, mine all up cost me about £60 and about 8 hours of work.

Ian does a lot with in car entertainment and programming so he is good, I can't see the pics in the links to see what the cases look like so can't comment on his prices
