Let us know how you go on the new PC build, love love love nerdy stuff.
Right now it's a thought in the wind. But I do need a new one. My laptop is 5 or 6 years old. But it's a good one. It still has some potential for upgrades but I will be limited on what I can put into it. That's why I want to build a new desktop PC. I want to be able to put a hefty GPU in it which is a problem with laptops. That stuff, if it happens, will be way in the future.

I contacted AccuRC about multiplayer issues with hopes that they would have more info. Here's what they said:

We are working on an update to greatly improve multiplayer, being a small team its hard to put an exact time on it, it will be done when its done, its currently our top priority tho.

I have all but given up on them. Same BS replies time after time. Gets tiring after a while.

Yea, I had hopes in the beginning, but excuse after excuse and month after month of things not working (multi-player wise, the standard sim is still be best bang for the buck out there!) I just gave up. And with me working early mornings now, the wife working early mornings now, it's almost impossible to do sim sunday anymore. I'm working on a solution though, but it will likely be early on Saturday if anything. For now at least.

I just got a reply on steam from the developer regarding my very critical review of their sim. Here is what they said:

I was really hoping they would have this fixed by now. They keep saying "next update, next update" and yet it still sucks. Sorry I had you get it...

I'm about to upgrade my laptop. The one I'm using has been used and abused lol. It has been thrown, dropped, over heated and stepped on, and it is still working lol. i7 with some GPU lol. Need more power...

I just need to get a new graphics card for this laptop. I could do so much more with it then.

Generally speaking... That may be more of a challenge than you think if your notebook isn't already setup with eGPU's ( external video cards ) in mind. Most notebook/laptops I see don't have the capability to connect to an eGPU so there is not upgradability for those types of notebooks/laptops that would also support gaming.

For a little history and more info this vid covers some basics... ( not a recommendation for this product but just info about the subject in general )

Mine can support two GeForce GTX 680m in SLI. The one I had in there died and I had to revert to onboard.

I'd rather just build a new PC and get a 1080Ti.
