Everyone that has been in this hobby for a while already knows the benefits of having a simulator. But for those that are new to the hobby, justifying spending $150+ on what some consider a game is quite hard to do. Well I'm here to tell you, that $150 investment will pay for itself, very quickly! The two hottest Simulators out there right now are Phoenix and RealFlight. I prefer Phoenix because you get lifetime updates compared to RealFlight where you have to purchase updates. We are not...

Every day in the RC world, we use different terms that you may or may not know. We are working on helping you better understand these terms by providing you with a dictionary will all of the terms that we use. If there is something missing, just let us know and we will add it. Just click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page and send us an email. When you send your email, please include your definition of the word or abbreviation. 2.4GHz - a.k.a. Too Much Loctite? We have all done it from time-to-time. Put too much thread locker on a screw during a build, or repair. Helicopter, car/truck, boat...it`s a real pain to remove a screw that has been overly thread locked. You either wind up stripping the head or breaking the screw off in the part...or both. Here is a simple, safe and easy way to get them to cooperate. Heat up your soldering iron and hold the tip to the head of the screw for about 30-45 seconds. This should re-liquify the...
Hey guys. This little tip can work for not only helicopters, but for planes, trucks and cars too. I used to just pour all of the screw out on my work bench, in piles according to size and type. This proved to be a bad idea, because they would get mixed up, knocked off the bench, or scattered all over the table. My husband actually came up with a cool idea, that keeps them all sorted by size and type...and also cleans them at the same time. All you need are a couple of cheap ice cube...
I was hit up on my email from a vendor asking if I wanted to do a review on YET ANOTHER cheap POS plastic quad, and I said NO! Instead I asked if they wanted to send this one and they agreed. The link to it is below if you don't believe they call it an "Interior Traversing Machine" lmao. If this was an Eachine, it would be called the EX 110 and not the QX. I have no idea why... Below are a couple links that you may need to get this thing going. First is a completely stock dump file that I...
GearBest sent me this quad for xmas and I figured why not do a review on it. My thoughts on this little guy are about like they are on the Eachine E010, but it feels like this little guy has more punch than a stock E010. With that being said, if I had to choose between this one and the E010, I think I would go with this one! It is just a fantastic little quad to start out on! Click on the link below to get yours today! Furibee F36 From GearBest
In this video, I show you how to do everything from program the transmitter (in my case, a DX9) to the maiden flight switching through all of the different flight modes. Setup of the CC3D is very easy thanks to the Setup Wizard. Just follow along and you will have your CC3D in the air in no time. The only thing that you will have to setup that is not in the wizard is your flight modes. I go through that as well in this video. Have a watch, tell me what you think and ask questions.
In this video, I show you just how easy it is to flash CleanFlight on your CC3D Flight Controller. The first thing you need to do is download the OpenPilot GCS and download the Cleanflight.cc3d.bin file which are linked below. Once you have those, you need to go into your Google Chrome Web Store and download the Cleanflight-Configurator. I have linked the Configurator below as well. Once you have those 3 items, you are ready to install CleanFlight onto your CC3D. OpenPilot GCS CleanFlight...
In this article, I'm hoping to explain what PID is, what it is used for and how to tune it. PID has become a way of life for the RC Industry, especially with quadcopters. So what is PID? First, let’s break it down into each letter... P - Proportional (Kp). This is the gain that corrects what has already happened. Using a quad as an example, let’s say the quad is at a 45º angle, and it wants an angle of 0º or flat. The Proportional gain is going to sense the quad is located at 45º and is...

As ou all know, I lost my Mobius in a crash that killed the board and Jason over at Banggood suggested this camera to replace it. In the video below, you will see what I think about this camera. If you have this camera, post up and let me know what you think about it.
I decided to go ahead and put both of these videos in the same thread since they are virtually the same. The only difference between the two is the DX400 is 100w more power and the DX400 has an extra 2.4a USB port. The lack of voltage still worries me a little bit though but not enough to keep me from using them with electronics that are NOT sensitive. Have a watch and let me know what you think about these inverters.

If you are looking for the perfect way to get into FPV racing, there is no better quad than this little guy right here! The QX95 Micro FPV Racing Quad has everything you need to get started. From a 95mm frame that will allow you to get into the tightest of spaces, to the F3 flight controller, to the 25mw FPV camera/Transmitter combo, this quad has everything. One down side to this quad is the motors. because they are brushed, you are going to need replacements after about 30 flights. The...
