Are they V911 copters?
I have had many of those for ages and never killed a motor.
I have 12 batteries and they go through them one after the other with very little cool down period and they just keep flyin.
I agree with Tony, sounds like battery.
A bit more information would make it much easier for us to help you.

YES Battery I have had similar experiences was about to scrap the copter for parts. On flip side I know of others the gear was an issue might want to try battery first.
