As a novice FPVer I should not have flown in this wind but I enjoyed it so much last time that I just had to do it again.
The first part of the flight was pretty uneventful.
Little did I know that the 25kmh plus gusts at ground level were nothing compared to the wind at a bit of altitude.
I nearly crashed it but what a rush!!
Got up to 83kmh without even trying.
My hands were shaking on the controls when I finally landed, with the goggles on too.
I do have to say that B is my favourite letter in the alphabet right now.
I got a bit disoriented and was not sure where I was, I had to tell myself to settle down and get my bearings.
Then I remembered the B that was floating around on my screen.
The wind was pushing me around quite badly and on the way home I had a tail wind.
That was when it got over 80kmh, I suddenly realised I was going way to fast.
I finally slowed down and landed and I just sat there for a while trying to relax a bit.
Damn, what a rush. I want to do it again.
Just not quite so extreme.
The video quality leaves a bit to be desired, there seems to be some interference somewhere between the quad and the laptop I use to record with. I don't notice it in the goggles but I do need to get rid of it somehow.
I will upload the HD version off the camera later.
