FBL Gyro What exactly does a gyro do?

I thought a gyro assisted with repositioning and orienting the rudder. I did not think the gyro effected the cyclic/ccpm.
Is anyone able to describe/define the function of the gyro otherwise?
I was inspired to ask this question as I thought about how the gyro effects a flybared heli different from a fbl heli.

Gyro is to correct unwanted inputs. Like wind torque or thermals and whatever..

A flybarred heli has only a tail gyro for maintaining your heading.

A flybarless has tail , elevator and aileron gyro on it. (3axis) ... Thus preventing the heading from changing not just on the yaw but the other two axis too.

In a nut shell that's it :)

Fly safe!! :) have fun!
