Spektrum Spektrum DX8 Left/right trim?

HI guys,

Just a silly question. What is the purpose of the "L" trim to the right of the Flap/Gyro toggle switch, and the "R" trim to the left of the Aux2/Gov toggle switch?

I've been looking at pics of the TX (Have still not received mine!!!) and can't seem to figure it out.

Those are switches that are assignable to do different things. On my 600 nitro, I use the LT to adjust the gyro gain on the fly and I use the right trim as the throttle cut. There is a number of things you can do with it, you just have to play around to make it do what you need it to do.

While on that one, assuming I get around to do a scale heli at some stage, and then put a small winch on the bird, I could technically use those L and R trim setting to raise and lower the winch?

Yup, just takes a little switch reassigning and you will be good.
