450 Spectrum ar8000 hookup

Hey guys so I'm working on getting my arttech falcon in the air using my ar8000 so I can use my dx8 my problem is I am not getting power to the receiver I have the esc hooked up to the thro port .also if the negative black wire supposed to be up toward the label or is the white signal supposed to be up towards the label ?

On the AR8000, the ground goes towards the label.

Yeah, I had the same confusion when I got my AR8000. ALL my other other Rx's have the signal wire up, so when I hooked up the AR8000, I just started plugging in the wires with the signal wire up. I thought it was odd when nothing worked. I looked harder at the AR8000 and quickly noticed that the black wires go up. As bewildered as I was, I flipped the wires around and POOF....everything works, lol.
