450 Smashed my 450

I was doing hurricanes close to the ground dumb thumed it for 1/2 sec full speed into the grass. I have the KDE motor on this heli and this thing really get moving. I have never seen a heli explode before now lol. Pieces went every where. Damage: canopy toast, all servos stripped, boom and TT destroyed, main gear stripped, main shaft bent, tail shaft bent, bearing in the DFC head shot and the battery was destroyed.

I honestly thought there would be more damage with how fast it hit the dirt. I've got it all back together except the canopy. The canopy being the most expensive part

Ouch xokia, that looks bad, but the parts list says you got off pretty lightly, glad you got it back together quickly even though your waiting for the canopy,

Yea I have a large parts bin I think I have more parts then my LHS. I didn't have any spare canopies though.

Yea I got them from Fred Meyer which I think is Kroger in the rest of the US. The bin to the left holds the lipos for each heli.

I have spares like this for the 130x and my 300x. Having a LHS is nice but they never seem to have the part I need. So I just stock up when there is a sale somewhere. I have 0 spares for my 550 and 700 though

That's a lotta spares... My LHS dosent carry Align, lotta Blade stuff... I have them order or I do it online... Gotta get a drawer full like u do the "whoops" when they happen. Takes me 2 weeks to get back in the air as it is... That looks faster.. Lol
