General servo

I have a servo that works fine for a few stick movements then sticks. If I move the little gear it will re center and work a few more times and stick again. I took it apart and cleaned both the strip and contacts and also the bar it slides on with alcohol. My question, is that little bar suppose to be lubricated and it was wrong to clean that bar (the round bar the finger contacts are moved by)?

Get some deoxit and put a drop or two on the bar (lube) and the contact strip (deoxidize). Should clean things up.
