Hello :wavey:. I just finished packing the suv with the girls and equipment. :beerchug: IMG_0626.JPG Once the wife wakes up and get some coffee in her, we'll be like Willie Neson, "On the road again" to the park and get some air time in. :biggrin1:

I was about to ask the same question. I am near Tampa in Riverview.

    We are touring around:

8th - arrive Orlando International and stay overnight in Orlando
9th - travel to Miami and spend three nights
12th - travel to Key West and spend two nights
14th - One night in key Largo
15th - travel back to Orlando and spend a week there
22nd - fly back to cold and gloomy Aberdeen:frown:

So the week we have in Orlando has a few lazy days in the itinerary so I might have the chance to drop by a flying field and say hello, but it would have to be during the week because the weekend is all booked up.

I am leaving to North Carolina on the 14th returning on the 19th. Maybe we can plan something for Friday 21st in the afternoon. Go fly and maybe we can go out for dinner, don't know if you ever had spanish food.

That's really kind. I checked the map and it would be a straightforward journey from where I'm staying to Riverview. Let me get back to you by PM a little closer to the time if that's ok? It's kinda hard to make firm plans when you are travelling with the boss (wife) and three grown up offspring.

I'd like to stick my 450 and Tx in my case just in case i got chance to fly, but i think the LiPos would be a problem? I'm not sure what the travel rules are for LiPos but i suspect they are on the 'no-go' list? I'll go check now.

This is for the USA FAA rules. Yes, you can carry lipo's on a plane as long as they are under 100 watt hours per battery. For a 3s pack, you are allowed over 9000mah. for a 6s pack, you are allowed 4500mah. So you shouldn't have an issue with a 450 here in the stated. Getting out of your neck of the woods though, I have no idea.

    Thanks Tony,

I'm pretty sure that the rules are the same worldwide, so i should be fine to put a couple of 6S 1300mAh batteries for the Chase 360 in my bag:biggrin1:

Yup, you are only about 30wh so you are well under the 100wh per batteries. And they suggest putting it in your carry on rather than checking it. I know you take care of yoru batteries, but I would want them close to me if they decided to smoke.

Very nice Smoggie. I'm not trying to scare you but want to warn you. When you travel to Miami, watch out for the Zika virus around that area. New batch of mosquitoes carrying Zika found in Miami Beach
