Hi Guys thanks for letting me join the forum. I'm over in the UK and I've been out of RC for around 6 years and forgotten loads of things now. I've watched a few of your You Tube vids to get me back on track there really helpful.

Welcome to RCH. I'm glad the videos helped out. Do you have any aircraft that you plan on putting back up in the air? If so, post up some pictures of them.

:welcome1:

Hi Bravo6, welcome to the forum,

There are a few of us Brits here. 6 years isn't so long, I'm sure it will all come back to you pretty quick. So what type of RC are you into?

Tony. Is there a section you want me to post the pics or just add them to this ?

Yo Smoggie. I was into a bit of everything. I sold most of my models but I still have a 50 size heli, A 78" Spitfire , a Flair magnatilla . One of those autogyros by DR models or something and just buildin a Pro550 Hexacopter

Nice! First thing you might notice these days is that almost everyone has gone to 2.4GHz transmitters, so no more big aerials and no more peg boards! Of course the old FM gear still works as well as it ever did so no overriding reason to change right away.

So you still have those models?

Yeh still have the Magnatilla and Heli.. The Spitfire need the retracts rebuilding as they broke the mountings on the 1st flight and has never flown since. I repaired the wing but never got to it afterwards.

And this is the Hexa i'm building. Yeh I could still use the JR i have the heli set up on, Why waste the radio it's not worth much these days but it's a good one.IMG_20160730_184647.jpg

Welcome to the forum Bravo6, it won't take long to catch up, I was out of the hobby for about 15 years before I came back this time.

Your Tx most likely has a module bay in the back.. yes?

In that case you could easily put a 2.4GHz DSMX module in it. That would allow you to use Spektrum and Spektrum compatible receivers and would do away with the requirement for the big long antenna on the receiver (which is difficult to accommodate on a multi rotor). Only problem is they all seem to be out of stock at the moment: OrangeRX DSMX DSM2 Compatible 2.4Ghz Transmitter Module V1.2 (JR/Turnigy/Taranis compatible)

Hi Smoggie. No, there is a setting in the tranny to enable i-bus , also there is a module that plugs into the receiver for i bus. the instructions are minimal that came with radio. IMG_20160730_222044.jpgIMG_20160730_222139.jpg
