Newbie to rc airplane

Hello friends,
This is my first time into rc airplane hobby and i am planning to make the RC-help trainer airplane..I am looking for the size and type of the foam that was used to make the fuselage and the wings of the trainer airplane...

20"x30"x3/16" is what I used. I purchased mine from dollar tree, not sure what you have over there though.

How do you do that Tony? glue several layers together to get the correct thickness?

well the 3/16 thickness would be no where near thick enough to get the chord on the wing so you'd have to glue several layers together to get the correct thickness to get the chord correct right?

The wing is 3 layers thick in a kfm airfoil design.

Yeah call, that's what I thought you'd have to glue several layers together then use like a coat hanger or something to create a form to actually cut out the wing!

You don't actually have to form the wing. The KFM is a stair step design.

Oh ok wasn't familiar with the KFM term. Now I understand how it works!

It provides an impressive amount of lift. I only have to fly about half throttle to stay level with the trainer. At full throttle I am climbing at about 70-80 degrees.

I have new plans in the store now with a new wing design, as well as new tail feathers. Makes the build just a little easier.
