New to the hobby!

My name is Trey. Ive been wanting to get into the RC planes/drones (sorry Im not familiar with the precise lingo yet) for a VERY long time. Im wanting to build a fairly large drone for taking some pictures or making some videos, just seems neat to me. Im not real intrested in the micro or small scale stuff. I know in the beginning I would be happy with some RC flights and gradually mod or upgrade and in the future do some add on such as cameras and such, and some autonamous flights. I thought this would be a great place to get some info and do some research first. I know next to nothing about the sport. Only basics. Im very mechanically inclined, but not with electrical components. Anyhow, there you have it. Nice to be in the community!

Glad to have you here, Trey! The multi rotor world is amazing! I'll be building my first tricopter pretty soon. Should be a lot of fun!

You will find plenty of friendly, helpful people here.
When you have a question, just find the appropriate section and ask away.

Don't know about anyone else but to me the word "Drone" has a very negative public perception.
RC helicopter, rc plane and multirotor sound much friendlier. :)
