Motors motor problem

I just bought a 1/4 scale piper cub. It has a O.S BX-1 Motor on it. I am having problems when firing the motor up that after i take the glow ignitor off the motor dies. I have already try using a hotter glow plug and still no luck?

you might be a hair rich on you settings.

Put a new, stock glow plug in it. You don't want a hotter plug as it will require the engine to be hotter to keep it glowing. Plus, a hotter plug will retard the timing on the engine slightly. If this is a standard glow plug, go with an OS-8. That is what I'm using in my OS 55HZ
