500 Motor pole count

Does anyone know the pole count for a Scorpion 1600 Kv motor?

What does the "pole count" mean?

number of magnetic poles in the motor. Inside the stator of the motor you have poles that act as phases for a brushless motor to move... so basically, this motor has 6 magnets in it.

I need to know this for my telemetry RPM module. The sensor can count the motor turns but the circuitry needs to know how many poles (magnets) to determine one complete revolution.

That "should "... I say should be poles/2 but if its asking for poles of the motor specifically then it's 6 ... Assuming its doing that dividing internally

As in one revolution UNT sensor divisor it's poles/2

It wants motor poles let the processor deal with the math. I agree, three motor wired it would have to divide by two.
